Having made one of the greatest comebacks in the history of the sport, Yuvraj knows a thing or two about what it takes to come back from the brink.
Soon after his exploits in the 2011 World Cup, Yuvraj was diagnosed with cancer, for which he took treatment in the US before making a comeback to Indian team.
"Onto baby steps!!! This champion is going to rise again. Was good catching up and having a laugh. What a guy positive and always funny!! More power to you @rishabpant," Yuvraj posted on his Twitter handle.
Yuvraj was discharged from the hospital after his third and final chemotherapy in March 2012. He had what's called mediastinal seminoma cancer.
Coming back to Pant, the India star recently gave his fans a glimpse of his road to recovery. Pant shared a video in which he could be seen walking in a swimming pool as a part of his recovery and captioned it, "Grateful for small things, big things, And everything in between." Pant will miss IPL 2023 and in his place, David Warner has been named as the captain of his franchise, Delhi Capitals. Axar Patel will be Warner's deputy.
In the wee hours of December 30, Pant, 25, miraculously survived after his Mercedes car collided with a divider and caught fire on the Delhi-Dehradun highway while he was on the way to his hometown Roorkee.

He added that in Pant's absence, other players will get the chance to make their mark.
"What happened is very unfortunate. No one had any control over it and as a team, we wish him (Pant) all the best. Our love and prayers are always with him and we wish he has a speedy recovery," Hardik said on the eve of the first T20I against Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
Hardik then went on to underline the importance of a player of Pant's calibre in the Indian team's set-up.

Haryana Roadways on Friday honoured its driver Sushil Kumar and conductor Paramjeet for rescuing cricketer Rishabh Pant who met with a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway near Roorkee on Friday.
Rishabh Pant met with an accident while returning from Delhi to Roorkee as his car collided with the divider on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal.
"Bus driver Sushil Kumar and conductor Paramjeet spotted an uncontrolled car ram over the divider near Gurukul Narsan. They ran towards the car to help the passenger. We have honoured them, state govt will too honour them for the work of humanity," said Panipat Bus Depot general manager K Jangra.

The 25-year-old, who was going to his home in Roorkee, was taken to a local hospital. He suffered injuries on his head, back and feet but is in a stable condition.

"Praying for Rishabh Pant. Thankfully he is out of danger. Wishing @RishabhPant17 a very speedy recovery. Get well soon Champ," NCA chief VVS Laxman wrote on his Twitter handle.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Dr Sushil Nagar, who treated Pant in emergency, said the cricketer's main injuries are on his "forehead and knee." "The first X-rays suggest there is no fracture and there are no burns on Pant's body despite his car catching fire," it said.
