A US restaurant is receiving backlash for offering free food to overweight people.
Las Vegas-based 'Heart Attack Grill's recent free food offer is for people weighing 158 kg or above, as per an NDTV report.
The viral videos show eligible customers relishing the meals without being charged a penny. However, the concept has not gone down well with netizens who are slamming the outlet for being insensitive towards obesity and other health issues.&nbsp;
The restaurant is popular for its hospital-themed service and addresses customers as 'patients' given the exceptionally high-calorie, fat food they savour.
Interestingly, the employees here are dressed up as doctors, and nurses, while customers are asked to wear hospital gowns before tucking in.&nbsp;
The menu includes quadruple bypass burgers, four beef patties, bacon stuffed bun among several other health-averse foods.

As the tussle between online food aggregators and restaurants keeps going on, about 400 outlets across brands have delisted themselves from Swiggy&rsquo;s table-booking platform Dineout.
Hundreds of A-list restaurants, including Cafe Delhi Heights, Smoke House Deli, and Mamagoto, have opted out of Swiggy Dineout in recent weeks, following through on a campaign that threatens to put a key driver of the foodtech platform&rsquo;s growth on shaky legs.&nbsp;
The restaurant chains, largely in the casual dining space, say that Dineout&rsquo;s heavy discounts and cashbacks on in-restaurant dining services further hurts the already battered restaurant industry.&nbsp;
A majority of these businesses are members of the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI).&nbsp;
For over a year, the restaurant industry has been struggling because of covid-related restrictions and rising costs due to food inflation.&nbsp;

Officials of the Bengaluru Civil Services Authority have canceled licenses for 15 restaurants in the city. Licenses for restaurants including Box-8, Andhra Ruchulu, Rooh, Punjabi Nawabi and Annan Mess were canceled due to unhygienic practices and dirt inside the restaurant and its kitchen. Officials of the BBMP Health Department said that between February and April, 8 surprise visits to different eateries and night clubs were conducted, out of which these restaurants were found in violation of sanitation norms.

Michelin Guide 2019 Seoul has been announced. 2 restaurants have been given two stars while 5 of them have received one star for the first time. A total of 26 restaurants have been recognised. The restaurants with 2 stars are Chef Mingoo Kang’s Mingles & Alla Prima. Lee Jong Kuk 104, Mosu and Gaon are others on the list.

For the first time ever, an Asian country will be hosting the "World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards" in 2019. Singapore will also host the "World's Best Bar Awards" in 2021. Previously hosted in major culinary hubs like New York and Melbourne, the ceremony showcases some of the finest restaurants and chefs from across the globe. The 2019 award ceremony will also have an event called "50 Best Talks" which will include discussions and master classes on gastronomy among other things lined up.
