It was a very important wicket considering the match situation as the Gujarat Titans had scored 54 runs in the powerplay overs. After Yash Thakur broke the opening partnertship by dismissing Shubman Gill, Bishnoi sent back GT's most experienced batter for just 1 run.

India's Ravi Bishnoi has become the new No. 1 T20I bowler in the world. The 23-year-old leg-spinner dethroned Afghanistan superstar Rashid Khan from the top of the bowler rankings in the shortest format.
Bishnoi was rewarded for his exceptional bowling show against Australia in the recently-concluded 5-match series, where he was the highest wicket-taker with 9 scalps to his name. His bowling prowess also earned him the Player of the Series award.
The young leggie, who was ranked 5th last week with 665 ranking points, now has 699 points to his name, seven more than Rashid Khan with 692.
Bishnoi also became only the second Indian bowler to ever achieve the feat, with Jasprit Bumrah previously taking the top spot back in 2017.
Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav, who captained India to a 4-1 victory against the Aussies, continues to be the No. 1 T20I batter.

Just a few months ago, nothing seemed to be going as per plan for Ravi Bishnoi.
A below-par IPL 2022 saw him pick up just 13 wickets in 14 matches. His economy rate of 8.44 was also concerning for the Lucknow Super Giants, who signed the youngster as one of their three picks before the mega auction that year.
In search of his mojo, Bishnoi was hit with another disappointment when his name didn't feature in Team India's squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 as well as the T20I series against Australia and South Africa.
While many players would have gone into a shell, Bishnoi had other plans.

Come IPL 2023 and the 22-year-old was ready to answer his critics in style.

After getting a maiden call-up for the national side, leg spinner Ravi Bishoi revealed that Anil Kumble at Punjab Kings has helped him a lot to brush up his skills to become a better cricketer.
While talking to Sportstar, Bishnoi said that Anil sir guided me to back skills and never lose hope under pressure, which came as an immense help.
He further added that Anil sir's advice was to stick to my basics, execute plans without making any experiments.
When asked about playing under KL Rahul's captaincy again in the new IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants, the 21-year-old leggie said that it would be easier for me to adjust since I have already played under him in Punjab.
Notably, Bishoi was the third player picked by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 4 crore ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction scheduled to take place on February 12, 13.
