A UP man's trip to Mumbai turned tragic as he found a dead rat in the food that he ordered from Barbeque Nation

A 35-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh visited Mumbai but his trip turned tragic as he found a dead mouse in the veg meal box that he ordered from Barbeque Nation. The man identified as Rajeev Shukla shared a post on Twitter in which he said that due to the food, he was hospitalised for 75+ hours.&nbsp;
Shukla mentioned in his post that he arrived in Mumbai on January 6 and was subsequently hospitalised. According to him, the Mumbai Police was not much of a help as an FIR has not been lodged with respect to the case.&nbsp;
The 35-year-old man told India Today, "I ordered a vegetarian meal from the online app of Barbeque Nation on January 8, but the food was contaminated. The veg meal box contained rice, sabzi (vegetable curry), dal, parathas, gulab jamuns and salad. I had the sabzi. The dal, however, tasted weird. As I dipped the spoon further in the container of the dal, I was shocked to find a dead mouse inside."
Shukla further said that he spent the night somehow and in the morning, the hotel staff arranged a cab for him. He went to Nair Hospital and was admitted immediately. Tests were conducted and he was treated for food poisoning. Shukla was discharged on January 12.
After this, Barbeque Nation responded to Rajeev Shukla's post on X and said, "Hi Rajeev. We regret any inconvenience you may have experienced. We believe Mr Paresh from our Regional Office, in Mumbai, is already in touch with you to understand the details of the situation and work towards a resolution. We are committed to addressing your concerns promptly and effectively."

A mouse was secretly filmed cleaning up a man's shed every night for two months. Wildlife photographer Rodney Holbrook noticed that the objects he left scattered on his work bench were being mysteriously put back where they belonged overnight.&nbsp;
After this, Holbrook set up a night vision camera on his workbench to see what was happening. What came as a surprise for him was that it was not a human or a ghost cleaning things for him but a mouse, who secretly organised things for the man.&nbsp;
Holbrook told BBC, "It has been going on for months. I call him Welsh Tidy Mouse. At first, I noticed that some food that I was putting out for the birds was ending up in some old shoes I was storing in the shed, so I set up a camera.&rdquo;
He also stated that he couldn't believe it when he saw that the mouse was tidying up. Holbrook said, "He moved all sorts of things into the box, bits of plastic, nuts and bolts. I don&rsquo;t bother to tidy up now, as I know he will see to it. I leave things out of the box and they put it back in its place by the morning. Ninety-nine times out of 100 the mouse will tidy up throughout the night."

In 2022, this reputation reached new heights as rat sightings doubled, leading to the appointment of New York's first-ever "rat czar," Kathleen Corradi. She has been named the city&rsquo;s director of rodent mitigation.
While the city had been grappling with this rodent epidemic, an unexpected and somewhat bizarre trend began to emerge - rat-based tourism. New York City tour guides, have always been on the lookout for unique experiences to offer visitors, and with this they saw an opportunity to capitalize on the rat situation. They started including stops at famously rat-infested locations in their tours, turning the city's rodent infestation into an unlikely tourist attraction.
The rise of social media platforms like TikTok also played a significant role in the rat tourism boom. TikTokkers like Kenny Bollwerk began live-streaming rat encounters around the city, quickly amassing a substantial following of rat enthusiasts.&nbsp;
While efforts to reduce the rat population have resulted in a 15 per cent drop in sightings since Kathleen Corradi's appointment as rat czar, the unintended consequence has been the emergence of rat-based tourism.
For now, the future of rat tourism in New York remains uncertain. While some view it as an eccentric and unconventional way to explore the city, others hope that the rat problem will eventually be resolved, allowing New York to be known for more positive attractions.

An additional commissioner of police has been asked to probe the missing viscera case, said the DCP.

&nbsp;The Indore police in Madhya Pradesh on Friday ordered a probe after a few viscera samples went missing from a police station, with its staff claiming that the internal organs were eaten away by rats, an official said.
Viscera comprises body parts like the lungs, heart, and the organs of the digestive, excretory, and reproductive systems. Viscera samples are preserved in many murder and unnatural death cases where autopsy findings might not be conclusive.
&ldquo;We got information that a few viscera samples kept at Vijay Nagar police station have gone missing. We were told (by the staff) that they have been eaten away by rats,&rdquo; Deputy Commissioner of Police Sampat Upadhyay told PTI.
An additional commissioner of police has been asked to probe the missing viscera case, said the DCP.
The samples had been preserved in a salt solution in plastic containers, he said.
&ldquo;So it is possible for the rats to damage it (containers). However, a conclusion will be drawn only after a thorough probe,&rdquo; said the official.&nbsp;

According to a recent study published in Science Advances, the hearts of men and women react differently to the stress hormone noradrenaline. In the research done on rats, it was seen what effect heart failure and drugs can have on different genders.&nbsp;
The team created a new type of fluorescence imaging system that allowed them to use light to see how the rats&rsquo; hearts responded to hormones and neurotransmitters in real time. The rats were exposed to noradrenaline, also known as norepinephrine.&nbsp;
The results revealed that after exposure to noradrenaline, the hearts of male and female rats first reacted similarly. However, some regions of the female heart normalised more quickly than those of the male heart, which creates differences in the heart's electrical activity.&nbsp;
