A special NIA court here on Saturday granted the national agency 10 days custody of two accused in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case for further investigation.
Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Adbul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa were produced before a National Investigation Agency special court judge today.
The accused were brought to the state capital from Kolkata on transit remand, for their alleged role in March 1 blast at Rameshwaram Cafe here, which left 10 people injured.
According to NIA, Shazib placed the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the cafe and Taahaa was the mastermind.
Last month, the NIA announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for those providing information leading to the arrest of these two accused.

The National Investigation Agency has detained two main suspects in the Bengaluru Rameshwaram cafe blast case. According to reports, the suspects were picked from West Bengal.
The detained suspects have been identified as bomber Mussavir Hussain Shazib and his accomplice Abdul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa. NIA said they were traced to their hideout near Kolkata and apprehended.
NIA had announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh for information on them.&nbsp;
Shazib was the one who placed the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the cafe and Taahaa was the mastermind behind the planning and execution of the blast, the officials said.
"In the morning hours of April 12, 2024, NIA was successful in tracing the absconding accused near Kolkata where they were hiding under false identities," an official said.
This pursuit was supported by coordinated action and cooperation among the NIA, central intelligence agencies and the state police agencies of West Bengal, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala, the official added.
The NIA had last month announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for information leading to the arrest of these two accused.
An IED explosion rocked the cafe located on ITPL Road, Brookefield, Bengaluru, on March 1.
The NIA took over the probe on March 3.

According to local media reports, the worker was identified as Sai Prasad. While an official announcement is awaited, it is being speculated that he was detained for his alleged links with two accused in the case.
Meanwhile, the agency identified the accused persons who carried out the IED blast. They are Mussavir Hussain Shazib and co-conspirator Abdul Mateen Taahaa.
It said that both of them belong to Thirthahalli, Shivamogga District in Karnataka.
As part of the efforts to locate and arrest the absconding accused persons, the NIA has conducted searches at 18 locations in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh, an NIA spokesperson said.
In the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case, the NIA has identified the accused person who carried out the IED blast as Mussavir Hussain Shazib and the co-conspirator as Abdul Matheen Taahaa, both residents of Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district of Karnataka.
Several people were injured in the blast at the cafe located at ITPL Road, Brookefield, Bengaluru.
Further, as part of the investigation, Muzammil Shareef, a resident of Khalsa, Chikkamagaluru, who extended logistics support to the main accused persons, was arrested on March 26 and was examined in police custody, the spokesperson said.
The agency declared rewards of Rs 10 lakh on information leading to the arrest of each of the absconders on March 29.
The NIA has been summoning and examining all acquaintances, including college and school friends, of the absconding and arrested accused persons to gather evidence and information in the case, the spokesperson said.
It being a terror incident, any information on the identity of the witnesses may put them in risk in addition to hampering investigation. Also, unverified news items hamper effective investigation in the case, the agency said.
The NIA sought the cooperation of all for the arrest of the absconding accused persons, the spokesperson said.

Mussavir Shazib Hussain is alleged to have carried out the blast and was caught on the CCTV footage of Rameshwaram cafe.&nbsp;
According to the NIA, he is believed to be a 30-year-old man with a height of approximately 6 foot 2 inches. The investigators think he is staying in boys&rsquo; hostels, PGs or any low-budget hotels and using a forged driving license in the name of Mohammed Juned Sayed.&nbsp;
The accused also often wears a fake beard or wig with a mask to hide his original facial identity.
Another accused in the blast, Abdul Matheen Ahmed Taaha, who reportedly helped Mussavir to carry out the blast is also on the NIA radar.&nbsp;
The agency said that he has been using the Hindu identity with names like Vignesh D and Sumit to hide his original identity. He is also probably staying in boys&rsquo; hostels, PGs or any low-budget hotels. Both the accused are from Karnataka&rsquo;s Thirthahalli.
The announcement came a day after the anti-terror agency arrested a key conspirator in the case, Muzammil Shareef. NIA investigations have revealed that Muzammil Shareef had extended logistic support to the two wanted accused in the case, involving an IED explosion at the cafe located at ITPL Road, Brookefield, Bengaluru, on March 1.

Efforts are on to nab the absconding accused and unearth the larger conspiracy behind the blast, the NIA said.

She was making this statement while protesting in support of the shopowner in Bengaluru who was beaten up by a group of four to five people for allegedly playing Hanuman Chalisa during Azan.
"People from Tamil Nadu come here, get trained there and plant bombs here,&rdquo; the BJP MP was purportedly heard saying in the video.
The remarks were vehemently condemned by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin who asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Election Commission to take action against Karandlaje, who is BJP's candidate from Bengaluru North.
"Strongly condemn Union BJP Minister @ShobhaBJP's reckless statement. One must either be an NIA official or closely linked to the #RameshwaramCafeBlast to make such claims. Clearly, she lacks the authority for such assertions. Tamilians and Kannadigas alike will reject this divisive rhetoric of BJP," Stalin said on X.
"From the Prime Minister to cadre, everyone in the BJP should stop engaging in this dirty divisive politics at once. ECI must take note of this hate speech and initiate stringent action immediately.
Notable, the NIA has not revealed the identity of the suspect involved in the March 1 blast. On the trail of the suspect, the sleuths investigating the case had visited Tumakuru, Ballari, and Kalaburagi.

The NIA has announced a bounty of Rs 10 lakh for any valuable information on the accused. The NIA had earlier released CCTV footage of the prime suspect boarding a bus approximately an hour after the blast occurred at the cafe.&nbsp;

The suspect is seen wearing a cap, a face mask and glasses. He was seen adorned in black pants and a greyish-green button-up shirt.
The man, believed to be aged between 30 and 40 years, is the prime suspect in the low intensity blast that occurred at the Whitefield area's popular eatery on March 1.
The National Investigation Agency, which is probing the case, on March 6 announced a Rs 10 lakh cash reward for the information on the man. The authorities are yet to make any arrests.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said sleuths investigating into the blast have got certain "good leads'', reported PTI news agency.
He said the suspect is said to have travelled towards the district headquarters town of Tumakuru by a bus after the explosion, and officials are following the leads and verifying his movement till Ballari.
Investigation into March one blast, caused by an Improvised Explosive Device, at the quick-service eatery in Brookfield area in information technology corridor in east Bengaluru that left ten people injured, is being carried by the National Investigation Agency, which is being assisted by the Central Crime Branch of the Bengaluru police.
"We have got more important leads, as to the direction in which he (suspect) has gone and him having changed his clothes. Some information cannot be revealed. We have got good leads in the last couple of days. I feel that he will be nabbed at the earliest," Parameshwara told reporters.
"It is known that he has traveled by a bus, based on those leads officials are following up. They have got important leads," he said, adding that there are leads that the suspect travelled towards Tumakuru by a bus and officials were investigating it.
"Officials have checked footage, they have got certain leads. They are verifying from here till Ballari," he added.

On its official X (formerly twitter) handle, the NIA posted a picture of the suspected bomber wearing a cap, mask and glasses while entering the cafe. The agency shared phone numbers and emails where people can send information about the unidentified person, who has emerged as a prime suspect.
The NIA assured that the identity of the informants will be kept confidential.
The probe into the blast at the cafe was handed over to the NIA earlier this week. At least 10 people were injured in the blast at Rameshwaram Cafe in Brookfield in East Bengaluru on March 1.
The explosion is suspected to have been carried out through an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). Soon after the blast, the Karnataka Police registered a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosives Substances Act.
The NIA is a specialised probe agency to investigate terror related cases. The agency was created in 2008 following the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.&nbsp;
