He said some people have been invited and they should come to the temple town to witness the historic day.
He was addressing a public meeting after inaugurating a renovated railway station and an airport in the city. He said the strength of "vikas" (development) and "virasat" (heritage) will take the country forward.
The PM urged all citizens to light diyas in their houses on January 22 so that the whole country basks in glory.
He urged people to launch cleanliness drive at pilgrimage sites and temples across the country from January 14 and January 22.

He also said the Ujjwala Yojana has transformed the lives of crores of mothers and sisters.

According Nitin Agarwal, state Excise Minister, the decision was taken during a meeting with Champat Rai, General Secretary of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust.

Cops said that a case was registered and efforts were on to identify the caller.
The development came on a day that special rocks reached Ayodhya from Nepal. The rocks will be used to make idols of Hindu deity Ram and his wife Sita for the temple.

Two Shaligram stones were received in Ayodhya on February 2, where they will be used in the construction of the idols of Hindu deity Lord Ram and Janaki.
A Ram Temple trust official told the news agency PTI, 'One rock weighs 26 tonnes and the other weighs 14 tonnes.'&nbsp; Priests and local devotees welcomed the large boulders with chants and decorated them with garlands on Thursday. Soon after, they were handed over to the Shree Ramjanmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, in charge of the under-construction Ram Temple.&nbsp; The stones were transported to India from Nepal's Janakpur, the birthplace of Sita. Before arriving in Ayodhya, the stones reached Gorakhpur on Wednesday where devotees were allowed to offer prayers.&nbsp;
The Shaligram stones are known to be found only on the banks of Kali Gandaki River that flows through Myagdi and Mustang districts, close to Saligrama or Muktinath (place of salvation) in Nepal.&nbsp;
'There is a waterfall named Kali Gandaki in Nepal. It originates from Damodar Kund and is around 85 km north of Ganeshwar Dham Gandki. Both these boulders have been brought from there. The place is situated at a height of 6,000 feet above sea-level. People even say that it is crores of years old,' Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, General Secretary, Champat Rai told news agency ANI.&nbsp;
The two stones have been approved both technically and scientifically for the making of the idol, informed the Nepali officials.&nbsp;

A list of alleged "illegal colonisers" of land in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya has landed some politicians in hot water in the temple district.
The list features Ayodhya City Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay, incumbent MLA from Ayodhya Sadar constituency Ved Prakash Gupta, and former legislator from Milkipur Gorakhnath Baba, according to an Indian Express report.
The list of 40 "illegal colonisers" of land plots and building infrastructure was issued by the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA). ADA Vice Chairman was quoted by the Indian Express as saying that the list is "premature", and wrongly "leaked".
Earlier, the UP government had constituted a one-member committee to probe land deals by public servants in Ayodhya following the November 2019 verdict by the Supreme Court in favour of a Ram Temple in the ancient city.
Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay, and MLA Ved Prakash Gupta dismissed the allegations, as per the Indian Express.

Even as devotees from across the country have donated liberally for the construction of Ram Temple here, 15,000 cheques worth more than Rs 22 crore received by the Trust bounced, officials said here on Monday.
According to a report released by Vishva Hindu Parishad on the behalf of its district units across the country, so far a sum of Rs 3,400 crore has been received by the of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in donation.
The report also gave information about the bounced cheques, but did not elaborate on the reasons they could not be honoured.
“A second report is also being prepared separating such cheques, so that we can get the exact information about cheques that have bounced due to various reasons,” Prakash Gupta, office manager of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya, told PTI.
“Many cheques might have bounced due to spelling mistakes or signature mismatch or any other technical reasons. Cheques which bounced due to petty technical reasons would be presented again with the bank,” he said.
The report revealed that the donors from Ayodhya district have the maximum number of bounced cheques, exceeding 2,000.
Insufficient balance in the account has also emerged to be one of the main reasons for bouncing of cheques, Gupta said.
The number of people donating from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh for the construction of Ram temple is 31,663, he said.
The number of people donating from Rs 5 lakh to 10 lakh is 1,428.
A total of 123 people donated between Rs 25 lakh and 50 lakh, and 127 donated between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 1 crore, Gupta said.
The number of people donating more than Rs 1 crore is 74, he added.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee&nbsp;tweeted&nbsp;that the state govt earlier decided to have a lockdown on September 11 and September 12 but after requests from students, the government has decided to lift the lockdown.
NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is scheduled to be conducted across the country on Sunday, September 13. 15.67 lakh candidates have applied for the NEET 2020 examination from all over the country.
Meanwhile, BJP&nbsp;president J P Nadda&nbsp;has hit out at Mamata&nbsp;Banerjee&nbsp;on her govt's appeasement politics over dates of the lockdown.
Nadda&nbsp;said, on August 5, when the foundation stone of Ram Temple was laid,&nbsp;Mamata&nbsp;imposed a lockdown in the state, but on July 31, the&nbsp;day of&nbsp;Bakri Eid, the lockdown was lifted. Nadda&nbsp;said, this vote bank and appeasement politics by Didi&nbsp;creates an anti-Hindu mindset in the state.
