The Congress is set to protest around Raj Bhawans in all states. The grand old party has alleged the misuse of state machineries after the police stormed the Congress headquarters in Delhi during the 3rd day of Rahul Gandhi's questioning by the Enforcement Directorate. 
The Congress alleged that Delhi Police personnel forcibly entered its headquarters and beat up party workers and leaders on Wednesday, on a day the party staged vociferous protests against the questioning of Rahul Gandhi by the Enforcement Directorate for the third consecutive day.
Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala called the Delhi Police's action 'absolute goondaism' at the instance of 'the Modi government'. He also said that entering the national headquarters of the Congress was 'criminal tresspass' and that the 'goondaism of Delhi Police and Modi government has reached its zenith.
The party demanded that an FIR for "criminal trespass" be registered, the erring police personnel be suspended and disciplinary action initiated against them.
Surjewala said the party's state units would stage silent protests Wednesday evening and would gherao Raj Bhawans across the country Thursday morning against the police action.

In an official letter demanding the immediate reopening of places of worship, Koshyari had asked Uddhav&nbsp;if he has turned 'secular'.&nbsp;Thackeray responded saying he did not need his Hindutva credentials certified by Koshyari. The Saamana&nbsp;editorial said opening places of worship will lead to spike in Covid-19 infections in the state which has recorded most number of cases and deaths in India.
 The Saamana editorial justified the chief minister&rsquo;s response to Koshyari&rsquo;s letter. &ldquo;Even the gods must be ringing the temple bells in happiness,&rdquo; it said. &ldquo;If the sound of ringing bells has reached Modi and Shah, then they will recall the Governor to preserve the prestige of Raj Bhavan.&rdquo;

DMK’s Kanimozhi leads protest over Hathras rape case, she and others detained as crowd swells

The protesters gathered at Saidapet and took up a candlelight march to Raj Bhavan in Chennai. But as the crowd went out of control, the police patrol detained the protesters, including Kanimozhi.
