<p>Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's remarks that "we are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself" triggered a row on Wednesday with the BJP alleging that his statement was straight out of "George Soros&rsquo; playbook."</p>
<p>Addressing party leaders after the inauguration of the Congress' new headquarters at 9A, Kotla Road here, Gandhi said, "Do not think that we are fighting a fair fight. There is no fairness in this. If you believe that we are fighting a political organisation called the BJP, that we are fighting a political organisation called the RSS, you have not understood what is going on.</p>
<p>"The BJP and the RSS have captured every single institution of our country. We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself," he said.</p>
<p>Sharing a video clip of Gandhi's remarks, BJP IT department head Amit Malviya said, "Rahul Gandhi has now declared an open war against the Indian State itself. This is straight out of George Soros&rsquo;s playbook."</p>
<p>In his remarks, Gandhi said, "I clearly stated that something went wrong in the Maharashtra elections. We are uncomfortable with the way the Election Commission operates. The sudden appearance of almost one crore new voters between the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections in Maharashtra is problematic".</p>
<p>Gandhi said it is the Election Commission's duty to provide a voters' list with names and addresses of those who voted in the Vidhan Sabha election.</p>
<p>However, the commission has refused to provide this information, he said.</p>
<p>"Why would the Election Commission refuse to make the voters' list transparent? What purpose does it serve by not providing us with the list, and why are they withholding it? It is the Election Commission's duty to provide transparency, and it is their sacred responsibility to explain why this has happened," he said.</p>
<p>"This is something that every Congressman and every opposition member must keep in mind. There is a serious problem with our election system, and it is the Election Commission's duty to be transparent," he said.</p>

<p>Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday hit out at RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat saying that his remark that India got "true independence" after the Ram temple consecration amounts to treason and is an insult to every Indian.</p>
<p>Speaking at the inauguration of the new Congress headquarters in Delhi, Gandhi said every party worker is fighting this battle of ideologies under difficult circumstances where institutions have been captured by the BJP and the RSS and investigative agencies are being used against opposition leaders.</p>
<p>The leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha also hit out at the Election Commission and alleged that there is a "serious problem" with the country's election system.</p>
<p>"Mohan Bhagwat has the audacity to say to the country what he thinks about the independence movement and the Constitution. What he said yesterday is treason... Because he is stating that the Constitution is invalid and the fight against the British was invalid.</p>
<p>"He has the audacity to say this publicly. In any other country, he would be arrested and tried. That is a fact," Gandhi said at the inauguration of the Indira Gandhi Bhawan.</p>
<p>"To say that India did not get independence in 1947 is an insult to every Indian. And it is time to stop listening to this nonsense that these people think they can keep parroting out and shouting," he said.</p>
<p>The former Congress president said the party has worked with the Indian people and it has built the success of this country on the foundations of the Constitution and that is what this building symbolises.</p>
<p>"It is important that we take ideas from this building and spread these ideas in the rest of the country," he said.</p>
<p>Gandhi said "we are fighting a civilisational war with these people, they are attacking every day the ideas that we believe in" and asserted that only the Congress can fight them.</p>
<p>Hitting out at the Election Commission, he said, the EC has refused to give us information about the increase in the number of voters in Maharashtra from Lok Sabha elections to assembly elections.</p>
<p>"What purpose does it serve? Why will it damage the EC? Why are they not giving us the list?</p>
<p>"It is the duty of the EC to ensure transparency in elections. If there is an increase of one crore in (the number of) voters in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha in Maharashtra, it is the duty and sacred responsibility of the EC to show us exactly why this has happened. There is a serious problem with our election system," Gandhi said.</p>

<p>Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and Rajya Sabha MP of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Sanjay Singh alleged at a press conference here that the actions of the Congress are damaging the unity of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA).</p>
<p>"We had not said a single word against the Congress during the Haryana election. Yet the Congress seems to be reading out from the BJP's script. Its candidates' list looks as if it was finalised at the BJP office," Singh said.</p>
<p>He accused Congress leaders Ajay Maken and Sandeep Dixit of targeting the AAP, instead of focusing on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).</p>
<p>"Ajay Maken has crossed all limits by calling Arvind Kejriwal anti-national. Despite campaigning for the Congress in past elections, Kejriwal now faces an FIR, while the Congress had never filed a single FIR against any BJP leader," Singh said.</p>
<p>Atishi echoed similar sentiments, claiming that the Congress is actively undermining the AAP.</p>
<p>"It is evident that Congress candidates like Sandeep Dixit and Farhad Suri are receiving support from the BJP. This collusion raises questions about the Congress's commitment to the INDIA alliance," she said.</p>
<p>The AAP demanded disciplinary action against Maken and other Congress leaders within 24 hours and said if no step is taken, it will push for the grand old party's expulsion from the INDIA bloc.</p>
<p>"We will ask the other parties in the alliance to remove the Congress," Singh said.</p>
<p>The Delhi Assembly polls are due in February.</p>

<p>An FIR under sections 117 (voluntary causing grievous hurt), 115 (voluntary causing hurt), 125 (an act of endangering life or personal safety of others), 131 (use of criminal force), 351 (criminal intimidation), and 3(5) (common intention) of the BNS was registered at Parliament Street Police station.</p>
<p>Earlier in the day, the BJP filed a police complaint against the Leader of Opposition, accusing him of &ldquo;physical assault and incitement&rdquo; during a scuffle in Parliament premises, and sought his indictment under sections of attempt to murder and other charges.</p>
<p>BJP MP Hemang Joshi, accompanied by party colleagues Anurag Thakur and Bansuri Swaraj, visited the Parliament Street Police Station and filed the complaint.</p>

<p>The BJP charged the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha with pushing an MP leading to injuries to two of its lawmakers, but Gandhi denied it and said it was he who was pushed by a ruling party member.</p>

<p>The acrimonious face-off between the opposition and ruling NDA over alleged insult to B R Ambedkar took an unprecedented ugly turn in Parliament premises on Thursday with claims of pushing and shoving involving MPs, leaving two BJP members hospitalised and a woman BJP MP accusing Rahul Gandhi of "misbehaving" with her.</p>
<p>The BJP charged the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha with pushing an MP leading to injuries to two of its lawmakers, but Gandhi denied it and said it was he who was pushed by a ruling party member while Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also accused protesting BJP members of shoving him and injuring his knees.</p>
<p>Both sides lodged complaints at Parliament Street police station, blaming each other for what must be a sordid incident without parallel involving MPs within the premises of Parliament. They also complained to the respective Chair in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha against each other.</p>
<p>BJP MPs Mukesh Rajput and Pratap Chandra Sarangi sustained injuries and were admitted to the RML hospital, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking to them over phone to enquire about their health.</p>
<p>The hospital's Medical Superintendent Dr Ajay Shukla said they had sustained head injuries.</p>
<p>"We have filed a complaint against Mr Rahul Gandhi for physical assault and incitement," BJP MP Anurag Thakur told mediapersons outside the police station.</p>
<p>A number of MPs of the ruling BJP-led National Democratic Alliance were protesting at the steps of Parliament's 'Makar Dwar', an entrance and exit reserved for lawmakers, against the Congress' alleged insult of Ambedkar, while MPs from the Congress and its allies were demonstrating over Union Minister Home Amit Shah's remarks on Ambedkar and accused the BJP of slighting the architect of the Constitution.</p>
<p>BJP MPs claimed that Gandhi tried to push his way inside Parliament through the middle of the stairs where they were standing, ignoring a side passage, and caused injuries in the ensuing jostling. However, some opposition MPs claimed that the BJP members refused to give way to Gandhi who was heading to the Lok Sabha to attend the House proceedings.</p>
<p>Rejecting the BJP members' charge, Gandhi told reporters, "I was trying to enter Parliament and the BJP MPs were stopping me, pushing me and threatening me."</p>
<p>The incident happened some minutes before both Houses were to convene at 11 am.</p>
<p>The 69-year-old Sarangi, a BJP member from Balasore in Odisha and a former minister, suffered injuries on the left temple. BJP member Nishikant Dubey accused Gandhi of pushing the senior leader.</p>
<p>"Are you not ashamed Rahul, you are resorting to rowdy behaviour ('gundagardi'). You pushed an old man," a furious Dubey told Gandhi.</p>
<p>"He pushed me," Gandhi countered Dubey, walking off after having a cursory look at Sarangi, who was being attended to by fellow BJP members. Sarangi was later wheeled off to an ambulance.</p>
<p>"Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP, who fell on me and I got injured," he told reporters as BJP members squatted at the Makar Dwar raising slogans against the Congress.</p>
<p>Hitting out at Gandhi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said appropriate action would be taken in the matter. "Parliament is not a place to show physical strength. It is not a wrestling ring," he said.</p>
<p>Dubey told reporters, "I am a four-time MP, I have seen something like this for the first time. I have never seen Congress leaders barging into the BJP's protest or BJP members doing the same when Congress protests. Why did the Congress disrupt the BJP's protest today? This shows that their only aim is hooliganism."</p>
<p>A number of ruling alliance MPs, including Union ministers, met their injured colleagues in the hospital as the incident blew up into a major row.</p>
<p>Both Houses witnessed massive uproar amid 'Jai Bhim' chants from both sides and were adjourned without witnessing any transaction.</p>
<p>Congress MPs met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and submitted a complaint against the alleged unruly conduct of BJP MPs against Rahul Gandhi and attempts to stop him from entering Parliament House.</p>
<p>Phangnon Konyak, a woman BJP MP from Nagaland, said in the Rajya Sabha that Gandhi came in "very close proximity of me" during a "peaceful" protest and shouted at her. He made her uncomfortable, she said, accusing him of conduct unbecoming of his position as the Leader of Opposition.</p>
<p>Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar said that he has received a communication from Konyak on the incident and she also met him in his chamber. &ldquo;I am looking into it. She was literally in tears," he said in the House.</p>
<p>The Congress and other opposition parties have seized on a part of Home Minister Amit Shah's reference to Ambedkar in his Rajya Sabha speech on Tuesday to target the BJP and demand his resignation.</p>
<p>Shah, defended by Modi and other senior members of the BJP and its allies, has accused the Congress of distorting his speech. The BJP has instead cited the alleged insults to Ambedkar and neglect of his legacy during the long years of the Congress' rule to launch its counter-protest.</p>
<p>In a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Kharge claimed he was pushed by BJP MPs, lost his balance and was forced to sit on the ground, injuring his knees that have already undergone surgery. He has demanded an inquiry into the "attack".</p>
<p>As the INDIA bloc parliamentarians came face to face with the ruling coalition MPs in front of the Makar Dwar of Parliament, the two sides engaged in loud sloganeering in a bid to outdo each other.</p>
<p>Opposition MPs took out a protest march on the Parliament premises. MPs of the Congress, DMK, RJD, SP, the Left and NCP(SP), among others, participated in the protest. Several opposition MPs, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and K Kanimozhi, were seen wearing blue, a colour associated with Ambedkar.</p>

<p>The Adani bribery allegations, which involve over $250 million in bribes between 2020 and 2024, were brought to light by US prosecutors. The case concerns Adani's attempts to secure solar energy contracts from the Indian government under terms that could potentially generate over $2 billion in profits.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the Opposition INDIA bloc parties submitted a notice in the Rajya Sabha on December 10, seeking the removal of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, accusing him of partisan conduct as the Chairman of the Upper House. While the motion to remove Dhankhar would require a simple majority in the 243-member Rajya Sabha, the opposition lacks the numbers needed to pass it. However, opposition leaders maintained that the motion was an important step to uphold parliamentary democracy.</p>
<p>The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till noon as both opposition and government members exchanged heated accusations over the no-confidence motion against Dhankhar.</p>

<p>To make Bingsu, first make strawberry sauce by boiling water, strawberries and sugar tpogether in a pan. Now add the strawberry sauce and some milk in a mixer and blend it well. After this, pour this paste into a zip lock bag and keep it in the refrigerator for about 4 hours. Now put it in a bowl and top it with strawberry slices, sauce and vanilla ice cream and serve Bingsu.</p>

<h3><strong>What is Bingsu?</strong></h3>
<p>Bingsu is a popular Korean dessert made from finely shaved ice topped with various ingredients. The base of the dessert is the shaved ice, which has a fluffy, snow-like texture. Traditional toppings often include sweetened condensed milk, fruit syrups, red beans (pat), and tteok (Korean rice cakes). Modern variations have expanded to include a wide range of toppings such as fresh fruits, nuts, chocolate, and even ice cream.</p>
<p>One of the most classic versions is Patbingsu, which features sweetened red beans (pat) as a primary topping.</p>

<p>Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday had a close shave when a portion of the dais set up for one of his election rallies in Bihar caved in.</p>
<p>Gandhi was at Paliganj, on the outskirts of the state capital, to canvass for RJD president Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti, who is contesting Patliputra Lok Sabha seat.</p>
<p>Bharti was leading Gandhi towards his seat when he was seen struggling for balance as a portion of the make-shift stage sagged.</p>
<p>An alert Bharti quickly held Gandhi by the hand, helping him regain his balance and they smilingly told anxious security personnel, who ran to help, that the Congress leader was fine.&nbsp;</p>

Speaking at the rally, Rahul alleged that PM Modi waived loans worth Rs 16 lakh-crore to 22 people in 10 years but couldn't give Rs 9,000 cr for the HP monsoon disaster.

<p>Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Sunday mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his 'God sent me for a purpose' remark saying if the PM shares a deep connection with the almighty he does not need the Constitution of India to work.</p>
<p>Gandhi was speaking at a public gathering in Himachal Pradesh's Nahan. The state is set to vote on June 7 in the seventh and last phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.</p>
<p>Taking a swipe at the PM, Rahul further said he would like to ask the PM, if he gets this feeling periodically or if is it regular.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul clicked a selfie together after exercising their franchise. Priyanka Gandhi, Robert Vadra and their kids Miraya and Raihan Rajiv also voted in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha polls.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Miraya, a first-time voter, said, "Everybody should come out and vote. Don't sit idle, make a change."</p>
<p>Raihan said, "I think this is a very important election. I encourage all the youth to vote to save our Constitution and to vote in a way that brings positive change."</p>
<p>Speaking to reporters after voting, Priyanka said, "There is an undercurrent and the people have this feeling that the leaders of BJP are not discussing the real issues like unemployment and inflation. INDIA alliance has been talking about the real issues of the people since the beginning."</p>
