It's a moment of great honour for India as three Indian Air Force Rafale fighter jets, as part of the military contingent, are poised to participate in the Bastille Day flypast over the Champs Elysees, Paris, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be the chief guest.
The first look of the Rafales was revealed on Thursday in visuals from the Evreux-Fauville Air Base in France.&nbsp;
Group Captain Abhishek Tripathi, Commanding Officer of 101 Squadron (Rafale) and the leader of the formation that will participate in the Bastille Day Flypast said, "It is a matter of pride for us that we have brought Rafale to France once again. The PM will be the Guest of Honour at the Bastille Day parade and we will be a part of the opening formations of the Flypast..."
Indian Rafale jets that will take part in the Bastille Day flypast over the Champs Elysees, Paris, reached France a couple of days back.
The French traditional military parade is held annually in Paris during Bastille Day on July 14. PM Modi, at the invitation of France President Emmanuel Macron, will be the Guest of Honour on France's National Day.
PM Modi's visit will coincide with the 25th anniversary of the "strategic partnership" between France and India.

According to the defence official, the last batch of three Rafale fighter jets is all set to arrive in India by the middle of this week.
Jets are expected to fly directly from France to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where they will be refueled during the flight, just as they have in the past.
Among all Rafale aircraft the Indian standard jets are the most advanced worldwide, officials noted, they added further as of now, all aircraft have been fitted with ISE (India specific enhancements) corporation since all ISE's are trained and certified.
The first Rafale batch arrived in India in July 2020.

IAF chief: 'no war no peace' status along LAC with China in Ladakh

Referring to the current tense situation along LAC with China in the Ladakh region, IAF chief, RKS Bhadauria said in Tuesday that the security scenario is at an uneasy "no war no peace&rdquo; status. Bhadauria, while referring to a prolonged border row with China in a conference, mentioned the Indian Air Force has responded to the situation with rapidity and is fully resolved to counter any &lsquo;misadventure&rsquo; in the region. He also added the force&rsquo;s capability has been enhanced by recent induction of Rafale jets along with previous acquisitions of C-17 Globemaster aircraft as well as Chinook and Apache helicopters.
