Age is a factor and you cannot deny the fact that people want younger actresses in bigger commercial films; it&rsquo;s just a fact, a younger or conventional image that they want. There have been days where you are told that &lsquo;yeah you don&rsquo;t have xyz&rsquo; and we need xyz. You can see the number of surgeries people do. There is an image that we are chasing and not just in India, across the globe, which a lot of women are fighting against it.'
She later added that brands are promoting men and women of all ages, sizes and the change is happening. There was a time when she did struggle with that and she knows a lot of people who are still struggling and that is a fact. She said it&rsquo;s a very vulnerable position.
Earlier this year, in an interview with Hindustan Times, she had said, 'What I&rsquo;m really struggling with is (people unable) to combat age, especially in the industry with people going through surgeries. The actor added that the script of the film is key for her to decide the intention of a sex-comedy movie.
'If you read the script, you know what the film is talking about. And what kind of jokes are made. I don&rsquo;t mind a film where a chauvinist guy makes horrible jokes about women. But, you are trying to show something else; there&rsquo;s a story to it and it becomes something else. But, as a film, if you start celebrating those jokes then I am not going to be a part of it,' she added.
