Three members of a family were found dead on late Saturday evening inside a flat in southwest Delhi's Vasant Vihar area, police said.
On Saturday at 8.55 pm, police received information that flat number 207 of Vasant Apartment in Vasant Vihar was locked from inside and the persons inside the house were not responding, a senior police officer said.
Police managed to open the door and found that the gas cylinder was partially opened in the house and there was a suicide note too, the officer said.
On checking the inner room, three bodies were found lying on the bed and three small 'angithi' were kept in the room. It is presumed that they have died due to suffocation, Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Manoj C said.
The deceased have been identified as Manju and her daughters Anshika and Anku, police said.
Manju's husband had died in April last year due to coronavirus and since then the family was in depression, and she was also bed ridden due to illness, police said.

The BJP leader said that Tughlaq Road should be renamed Guru Gobind Singh Marg, Akbar Road should be Maharana Pratap Road, Humayun Road should be Maharishi Valmiki Road, and Shahjahan Road should be General Bipin Singh Rawat Road.

VHP's Vinod Bansal claimed that 27 Hindu temples were demolished to build the structure. He said, "He inscription at the Qutub Minar premises says that 27 Hindu temples were demolished to build that structure. It also says that the objective was the hoist the flag of Islam, and annoy Hindus. Such structures were built to show the absolute power of Islam. Inside, on the pillars and walls, were broken idols, and some were intact as well. Innumerable examples are there. What you call Qutub Minar was actually Vishnu Stambh, with Garuda at the apex. They tried to break an existing structure and remake it, but they failed. The part at the bottom does not match the part at the top."

The Qutub Minar complex is home to many Hindu and Jain idols. 'Ulta Ganesh' and 'Ganesh in cage', two such idols, were the subject of a letter sent by the National Monuments Authority (NMA) to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
The letter says the idols should be given a 'respectable' place at the NMA as the Authority’s chairman says the current 'placement of the idols is disrespectful'.
According to NMA chief and BJP leader, Tarun Vijay, the placement of the idols is near the feet of the mosque visitors. Vijay also said that after Independence, statues of British rulers were removed from prominent places and names of roads changed to remove traces of colonial past. The same should be done for the Mughal cultural genocide by righting the wrongs.
