Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap&nbsp;denied the charges of sexual misconduct levelled by actress Payal&nbsp;Ghosh&nbsp;and has reportedly provided proof to the police that he wasn&rsquo;t in the country when the alleged incident took place

After 8hrs of grilling, Anurag Kashyap denies assault allegations

A day after Anurag Kashyap was questioned for reportedly 8 hours in the sexual assault case filed against him by actress Payal Ghosh, the filmmaker has denied all accusations in a statement made by his lawyer Priyanka Khimani.
Calling the complaint an 'outright lie', Kashyap has provided documentary proof of the fact that throughout August 2013 he was away in Sri Lanka&nbsp;for the shooting of one of his films&nbsp;when the alleged incident took place.
The filmmaker has also sought for severe action against the complainant, for misusing the criminal justice system and for hijacking the #MeToo&nbsp;movement for her ulterior motives.
Actress Payal Ghosh had alleged that the filmmaker forced himself upon her in the past.

Anurag Kashyap's former wife Aarti Bajaj, actress&nbsp;Radhika Apte&nbsp;bat for the director amid #MeToo&nbsp;allegations.

The first wife of Anurag Kashyap, Aarti Bajaj has come out in support of the filmmaker who has been accused by actress Payal Ghosh for sexual harassment.
Taking to Instagram, Aarti posted a note describing the #MeToo allegations against Kashyap as the 'cheapest stunts' she has seen so far. Calling him a rockstar, she asked him to keep inspiring.
Sharing a heartfelt post for the director, actress&nbsp;Radhika Apte&nbsp;too stated that she feels extremely secure in Kashyap's presence and called him one of her closest friends.
Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap&rsquo;s lawyer Priyanka Khimani has issued an official statement and said that Anurag Kashyap is deeply pained by the false allegations of sexual misconduct.
