Piyush Mishra in his recent interview spoke about why he thinks 'Shamshera' wasn't received well by the audience.&nbsp;

Actor Piyush Mishra, who wrote the dialogues for the film Shamshera, has opened up on the failure of film which was a comeback for Ranbir Kapoor after a gap of four years.&nbsp;
Mishra shared that many thought script of the film was the reason of its failure but according to him, it also had to compete with the &lsquo;revolution in the south.&rsquo; Talking to Hindustan Times, he said &lsquo;I also didn&rsquo;t understand why it didn&rsquo;t work. People said it didn&rsquo;t work due to the script. I think we have already seen fantastic stunts so many times. Now you will have to compete with them, the revolution in South.&rsquo;&nbsp;
He added, &lsquo;Baahubali was not merely CGI, it also had a very solid script. To compete with a Baahubali, you will have to write an equally brilliant script. Pushpa also had a very good script, it wasn&rsquo;t made just like that. Adding CGI is only beneficial when you have a solid script, CGI without script is of no use.&rsquo;&nbsp;
The 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' fame actor also mentioned that he &lsquo;will be more careful in future.&rsquo; He mentioned that for a good script there should be a good screenplay.&nbsp;
'I derive my inspiration only from the screenplay. Dialogues depend on the screenplay. It&rsquo;s not possible to write dialogues for a bad screenplay, at least for me it&rsquo;s not possible,' he said.
The actor will next be seen in &lsquo;Kanjoos Makhichoos&rsquo; that also stars Kunal Kemmu and Shweta Tripathi.&nbsp;

Actor-singer Piyush Mishra recently released his autobiographical novel &lsquo;Tumhari Auqaat Kya Hai Piyush Mishra&rsquo; in which he revealed that he faced sexual assault at the hands of a distant female relative some 50 years ago.&nbsp;
Speaking with the news agency PTI, Mishra reflected on the incident that happened when he was studying in the seventh standard.
He said that the incident left him shocked, and he was surprised at what had happened. He further said that sex is such a healthy thing that your first encounter with it should be good, otherwise, it can scar you for life. He said the sexual assault gave him a complex and it took him a long time, and several partners to come out of it.
Piyush Mishra&rsquo;s book also traces his journey from the narrow alleys of Gwalior to Delhi&rsquo;s cultural centre of Mandi House and eventually to Mumbai.
&lsquo;I wanted to hide the identity of some people. Some of them are women, and some men who are now well established in the film industry. I did not want to take revenge against anybody, or to hurt anyone,&rsquo; Mishra told PTI.
In the book, the noted actor, singer, and composer narrates his life through the autobiographical character of Santap Trivedi, or Hamlet, as he was known in his alma mater, the National School of Drama (NSD).
Piyush Mishra made his mark as an actor, songwriter, singer, and scriptwriter in films such as Vishal Bhardwaj&rsquo;s &lsquo;Maqbool&rsquo; (2004), Anurag Kashyap&rsquo;s &lsquo;Gulaal&rsquo; (2009) and most notably, &lsquo;Gangs of Wasseypur&rsquo; in 2012, where he played the narrator.
Mishra has also written, composed, and sung for films like &lsquo;Gulaal&rsquo; and &lsquo;Gangs of Wasseypur&rsquo;.
