In its 13th&nbsp;year, the contest received 4,500 entries from amateur and&nbsp;professional photographers from 75 countries. Many&nbsp;of the images were taken by people in their backyard or unusual locations during the&nbsp;Covid-19 lockdown, said the organisers.&nbsp;&nbsp;

A winner will be picked from the 140 shortlisted snapshots&nbsp;on September 16 during a special digital awards ceremony.&nbsp;The competition aims to&nbsp;showcase the best in <a href="https://www.editorji.com/story/google-pixel-phones-receive-astrophotography-other-features-in-june-2021-update-1623246328156" target="_blank">astrophotography </a>from all over the world and the winner will get to display their work at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.&nbsp;&nbsp;
