Oravel Stays Ltd, the parent company of travel and hospitality firm Oyo, has withdrawn its draft red herring prospectus or DRHP, for the second time. The company plans to refile the DRHP after refinancing its 450 million dollars loan. As per PTI, JP Morgan is expected to be the lead banker for the refinancing, with an estimated interest rate of 9 to 10 percent per annum. The IPO-bound firm, backed by Softbank had initially filed paperwork with SEBI in 2021 for a public listing but withdrew it and refiled in 2023. "The refinancing is expected to result in annual interest savings of USD 8-10 million (Rs 66.4-83 crore) in the first year, after accounting for the costs associated with the bond issuance. The company anticipates annual savings of USD 15-17 million (Rs 124.5 -141.1 crore) thereafter, almost all of which would get added to its net profits. Post the debt refinancing, the company is open to contemplating an equity round, to reaffirm investor confidence before a public listing to fortify its financial strength," the source said.
The IPO was then delayed due to volatile market conditions, leading the company to prepare for a lower valuation of around 4-6 billion dollars, down from the initial target of 11 billion dollars.

Hospitality tech platform OYO on Thursday said it has rolled out an accelerator programme, which will provide financial assistance, mentorship and guidance to selected small first-generation hoteliers.

On Thursday, the hospitality tech platform OYO announced the launch of an accelerator programme that will offer chosen small first-generation hoteliers financial support, mentoring, and guidance.
Owners of hotels with more than five currently operating properties are qualified to participate in the accelerator programme.
According to OYO, more than 200 properties are anticipated to join this programme in important business hubs like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai in south India; Delhi, Gurugram, and Noida in the north; Kolkata and Siliguri in the east; and Mumbai in the west.
OYO has onboarded two hoteliers in Hyderabad, one in Kolkata, and one in each of Delhi during the programme's pilot period, which began two weeks ago. These hoteliers are in charge of more than 50 properties spread out across these cities.
OYO's accelerator programme will offer financial support, access to a pan-India network of over 15,000 corporate accounts and over 10,000 travel agents, mentoring and guidance, committed relationship managers, and active monitoring of hotel level dynamic pricing, according to the company.

He lived a full life and inspired me and so many of us, every single day.&rdquo; A Gurugram senior officer said the incident occurred around 1 pm Friday and that Ramesh Agarwal fell from the flat&rsquo;s balcony. It offers over 40 products and services to its partners and customers across 35 countries.
The company filed its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) in October 2021 and had planned to launch its IPO in 2022. However, due to volatile market conditions and bearish market sentiment, OYO postponed its IPO, worrying that its valuation might be affected.
According to the prospects, OYO in 2023 plans to raise ₹84.3 billion out of which ₹70 billion will be from fresh issues and the remaining ₹14.3 billion through stake sale by existing investors.
2. FabIndia Next on our list is leading consumer lifestyle platform focused on authentic craft-based and organic products, Fabindia.
According to reports, FabIndia plans to raise up to ₹4,000 crore through an initial public offer and in a novel approach, the company's promoters also plan to gift more than 7 lakh shares to artisans and farmers.
The 62-year-old FabIndia operates more than 300 stores and offers a diverse portfolio of lifestyle products across apparel and accessories, home and lifestyle, personal care and organic food categories.

3. Swiggy An online food ordering and delivery platform, Swiggy is next on our list. Established in 2014 in Bangalore, Swiggy currently serves over 500 cities in India.
Apart from food delivery, Swiggy delivers groceries and packages through Swiggy Instamart and Genie.
Currently, the company has partnerships with more than 150 thousand restaurants and has a strong fleet of over 260 thousand delivery executives delivering food to its users.
Swiggy plans to raise around US$1 bn ( ₹81.31 bn) through IPO in 2023. It was already gearing up for an IPO and hired JP Morgan and ICICI Securities to run its books.

Fourth on our list is the Wadia Group's Go First (formerly Go Air), an ultra-low-cost carrier in India.
Founded in 2005, Go First carried over 80 m passengers across 39 destinations, including ten international destinations and comprises 57 aircraft.
It is one of the fastest-growing airline companies, with a market share of 10.8% in 2020. The company filed its DRHP in May 2021 and planned to launch its IPO in early 2022. However, the company delayed the IPO because of weak consumer sentiment around aviation stocks. Going forward, Go First aims to launch its IPO in 2023. The company plans to use the funds to repay its debt and other obligations.
5. Hosana Consumer Last on our list is a natural beauty and personal care company, Hosana Consumer, popularly known as Mamaearth.
Founded in 2016 as a baby care brand, Mamaearth is now a beauty and skincare brand which operates in India, South East Asia, and the Middle East. The company operates as an omnichannel brand and sells its products online and offline.
So far, Mamaearth has raised a total of US$111.6 mn ( ₹9.07 bn) in funding over eight rounds from investors such as Sequoia India, Stellaris Ventures, and Fireside Ventures.
The company announced its plans to raise US$300 m ( ₹24.39 bn) through IPO in 2023 and will soon draft its prospectus. It plans to use the funds to set up offline stores across the country.

Oravel Stays Ltd, which operates travel tech firm and brand OYO, on Wednesday said it will refile its draft public listing application by the middle of next month.
Earlier this month capital markets regulator Sebi had asked the company to refile the draft initial public offering (IPO) papers with certain updates.

"We are working on updating all key sections simultaneously. Responsibilities have been divided among different teams, with senior company leaders driving the collaboration with the Book Running Lead Managers, essentially the IPO bankers, the lawyers and the auditors.
"We are keen on refiling the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) by middle of February 2023, if not earlier," a company spokesperson said.
The company said Sebi in its letter had stated that "the disclosures contained in present DRHP do not take into account the material changes/disclosures arising from Updated financial statements as filed through addendums leading to revised period for disclosures which in turn leads to necessities to make material updates in Risk Factors, Basis of Offer Price, Outstanding Litigations and update other relevant sections of DRHP".
OYO's last submission to Sebi was the updated financial results of the first half of financial year 2022-23.
The company had earlier indicated that the process of refiling the comprehensive document could take up to 2-3 months.
In September 2021, OYO had filed preliminary documents with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) for a Rs 8,430 crore IPO.
The launching of the IPO was delayed due to the then volatile market conditions making the company prepare to settle for a lower valuation at around USD 7-8 billion instead of the USD 11 billion it was targeting initially.

Online hotel aggregator Oyo is laying off 600 employees in technology and corporate verticals. However, as part of wide-ranging changes in their organisational structure, Oyo plans to hire 250 new employees for partner relationship management and business development teams. The announcement was made on Saturday by Oyo Group Ritesh Agarwal in a statement to the company.
"OYO will downsize 10 per cent of its 3,700-employee base, which includes fresh hiring of 250 members and letting go of 600 employees," a statement said. Product and engineering teams are being merged for smoother functioning, it added.
Ritesh Agarwal, Founder and Group CEO, OYO, said, "We will be doing all that we can to ensure that most of the people we are having to let go, are gainfully employed. Every member of the OYO team and I myself will proactively endorse the strength of each of these employees.
"It is unfortunate that we are having to part ways with a lot of these talented individuals who have made valuable contributions to the company. As OYO grows and a need for some of these roles emerges in the future, we commit to reaching out to them first and offering them the opportunity," Agarwal added.

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) imposed monetary penalties of ₹223.48 crore on the Nasdaq-listed MakeMyTrip-Goibibo and ₹168.88 crore on OYO for indulging in anti-competitive conduct in the hotel segment of their business and thereby contravened the Competition law. MakeMyTrip and Goibibo have been asked by the regulator to ensure fair and transparent access to hotels as well as to comply with various directions. The 131-page order comes after the Competition Commission of India found the two platforms and OYO to have indulged in unfair business practices by way of anti-competitive agreements. It is also the highest cumulative penalty imposed by CCI on entities in the digital space.
The regulator ordered a detailed investigation into the matter in October 2019 following a complaint by the Federation of Hotel &amp; Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI). Later, complaints from FabHotels and Treebo were clubbed.

Valuation of IPO-bound OYO in the private market has dipped to around USD 6.5 billion following reports of a markdown of valuation of the hospitality and travel-tech firm by SoftBank in its private books, according to industry players.
In the week ended September 30, 2022, nearly 12.3 lakh shares of the company were sold in the private market as compared to over 1.6 lakh shares sold in the previous week.
The sell-off followed reports that its largest investor SoftBank has cut the valuation of the hospitality platform by 20 per cent to USD 2.7 billion in its books, said a source.

 After the video went viral and a&nbsp;controversy erupted, Delhi Police clarified that the force had issued no such instructions. They claimed that the person later stayed at a hotel in the same area, and attempts to discredit Delhi Police's image will invite action.
 Even OYO took action and claimed to have removed the hotel from its platform.
 However, the owner of the hotel said that the incident was being misrepresented, and his staff was not in the wrong. Rakesh Kumar said, "This is being shown in a different light. A guest had come after booking through OYO. We had a room available but the AC was not working. Our property manager - the woman seen in the video - showed the guest the room. Things like AC can stop working at any time. All our other rooms were occupied. The guest insisted on getting a room. He used abusive language, and shouted at the property manager. She got irritated. In the video, you must have seen that the guest's ID was copied. It's untrue that we don't give rooms if guest's ID belongs to Jammu and Kashmir."

Oyo&nbsp;is all set for its IPO very soon as it prepares to file the draft prospectus by next week.

As per reports, the budget hospitality chain is planning to peg its initial offering at around $1 billion or Rs 7,500 crore.&nbsp;The issue will include fresh issue of shares and some offer for sale from its existing investors.
The IPO papers are ready, and bankers are waiting for final approval from the company before filing it with the Securities and Exchange Board of India, ET reported quoting sources. Most probably, the DRHP will be filed before September 30, the report added.
