Starting Tuesday, Noida residents can get new oxygen cylinders for Covid-19 patients in home isolation with a refundable security deposit of Rs 2,500, officials said. The cylinders will have to be returned within 7 days and refilling charges will be ₹300.
The initiative is part of an ongoing effort of Noida Authority with support from the Adani Group, which has provided it with 100 five-litre capacity oxygen cylinders, they said.
The authority had recently started the facility for refilling oxygen in empty cylinders for patients in isolation centres through RWAs and Apartment Owners Associations amid a surge in demand due to the pandemic.
While the move brought relief to many people, trouble continued for several who found it difficult to arrange empty oxygen cylinders that were required to avail the facility.

Starting Tuesday, Noida residents can get new oxygen cylinders for <a href="https://www.editorji.com/covid-19" target="_blank">Covid-19</a> patients in home isolation with a refundable security deposit of Rs 2,500, officials said. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared pictures while giving a glimpse of the first shipment and her entire team who are ready to leave from Mumbai to Delhi along with the oxygen cylinders.
While captioning the post, the actress mentioned that she knows her efforts are less yet, she is happy that it can prove beneficial for a few.

The Delhi Police on Wednesday arranged 11 oxygen cylinders for a private hospital in the national capital&rsquo;s Janakpuri area where 32 COVID-19 patients are admitted, officials said. A senior police officer said a distress call was received from Amarleela Hospital around 9 am saying oxygen stock at the facility was nearly exhausted. &lsquo;Police contacted local oxygen suppliers and succeeded in finding medical oxygen. Eleven cylinders have been arranged for the hospital from three different locations&rsquo;, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Prashant Priya Gautam said. The police said they are in constant touch with the hospital and oxygen suppliers to meet any emergency. The Delhi Police on Tuesday facilitated smooth passage for a tempo carrying oxygen cylinders to another &nbsp;hospital that had exhausted its stock of the life-saving gas, officials said.

In addition to this, Police officials from Alipur Police in the Outer North District of Delhi facilitated the movement of oxygen tanker from Singhu Border, which was stuck at Kundli Border. The tanker was scheduled to arrive at Jaipur Golden Hospital in Rohini.
