J&amp;K Police filed an FIR against Orry and seven others for consuming alcohol in Katra, near Vaishno Devi. The incident, contrary to the area's alcohol ban, drew public ire on social media.

In a significant development, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered an FIR against social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, commonly known as Orry, and seven others.
The charges stem from allegations of consuming alcohol within Katra town, which serves as the base for pilgrims heading to the revered Mata Vaishno Devi shrine located in the Trikuta Hills.
The case was lodged under Section 223 of the BNS, which pertains to disobedience of an order by a public servant, at the Katra police station. In light of the town's proximity to the temple, the Union Territory administration maintains a strict prohibition on the consumption and sale of alcohol and non-vegetarian products in the area.
According to the police, the accused allegedly indulged in liquor consumption on a hotel premises despite explicit instructions prohibiting such activities. Reasi SSP Paramvir Singh has reinforced a zero-tolerance stance on drug and alcohol use in religious locales and has mandated the apprehension of those involved to set a deterrent precedent.
The incident gained attention after photos circulated on social media, stirring discontent among local residents. However, by the time authorities moved to act, the accused had reportedly vacated the hotel and departed from Katra, sources indicate.
Alongside Awatramani, those named in the FIR include Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli, and Anastasia Arzamaskina. A special team has been formed to locate and bring the individuals to account, police officials stated.

Orhan Awatramani, aka Orry, stirred headlines after his brief stint on Salman Khan-hosted show &lsquo;Bigg Boss 17&rsquo;.
He entered the house during Saturday&rsquo;s Weekend Ka Vaar and eventually bid adieu to the housemates on Sunday. Orry shared a fun interaction with Salman Khan before entering the house, revealing that he earned around Rs 20-30 lakhs for posing for photos, leaving the host shocked.
Orry shared on the Bigg Boss stage that people call him at his parties and ask to pose with their family and kids. &lsquo;I get paid to get pictures clicked at the events with the pose that I do and post them. I earn around Rs 20-30 lakhs for these pictures in one night,&rsquo; shared Orry.
Salman said, &lsquo;Kuch seekh Salman, duniya kahaan se kahaan chali gayi yaar. You get paid for selfies, why am I not doing this? What is their profit in this?&rsquo;
Orry said, &lsquo;After my touch, they feel that they are ageing in rewind. Even their health problems can get solved.&rsquo;
On Salman Khan&rsquo;s question, how many phones does Orry use? He replied, &lsquo;I use three phones, one for morning, one for afternoon and one for night. So that the batteries don&rsquo;t discharge.&rsquo;
When Salman asked Orry what he did with so many phones, Orry said, &lsquo;There are a lot of benefits of good pictures. The moment lasts, and pictures stay lifelong. Accha edit karo, accha photo dalo.&rsquo; Salman curiously asked, &lsquo;For whom do you upload these pictures?&rsquo;
Orry replied, &lsquo;Duniya ke bachhon ko. I am doing all this for them. One day there will be 1000 Orrys. I am preparing for this.&rsquo;
Salman scoffs, &lsquo;Mujhe Hindustan ka future dikhayi de raha hai.&rsquo;
Orry also shared that he has five managers, leaving Salman stumped.
&lsquo;Beta kuch kar le life mein, iske paas 5 managers hai, kuch seekh inse yaar. What do they do?&rsquo; asked Salman.
Orry said, &lsquo;2 social media managers, 1 PR manager, 1 overall brand manager, 1 food manager. The food manager&rsquo;s job is to see what I eat. He will call the restaurants and say feed Orry only 5 edamame or remove all the sugar from the minibar.&rsquo;
Before leaving the stage, Orry and Salman took a selfie together and the actor warned him not to pose in his signature style.
During his stay, the house hosted a housewarming party for him, leading to a win for the 'Dil' members.
Ankita Lokhande, Isha Malviya, Sunny Arya, and Abhishek Kumar had a gala time with Orry and were seen giving a sweet farewell to this internet sensation.
