Yet another Hindu temple has reportedly been vandalised in Canada. The Ram Mandir in Mississauga, Ontario was defaced with anti-India graffiti on 13 February 2023.

The Indian consulate in Toronto on 14 February condemned the incident and said that it had requested Canadian authorities to conduct an investigation and take "prompt action".
In January, a Hindu temple in Brampton was defaced, while in September 2022, a BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Toronto was vandalised.

The incident comes days after an Indian-origin teenager Mehakpreet Sethi was stabbed to death by another teenager in a high school parking lot in Canada's British Columbia province.

The incident comes days after an Indian-origin teenager Mehakpreet Sethi was stabbed to death by another teenager in a high school parking lot in Canada's British Columbia province.

A 21-year-old Canadian-Sikh woman has been shot dead, in an apparent "targeted" killing in Canada's Ontario province, according to the police.
The victim, identified as Pawanpreet Kaur from Brampton, was fatally shot by an unidentified assailant on the night of December 3 in Mississauga city of Ontario province, according to a press release by the Peels Regional Police on Sunday.
According to the Toronto Sun newspaper, Kaur was shot outside a gas station.
Police received information about a woman being shot at around 10:39 pm, and located the victim with apparent gunshot wounds upon arrival at the scene. Life-saving measures were attempted however the victim succumbed to her injuries, as per police.

The police believe it to be a "targeted" incident.
Little information was provided about the suspect with the killer not been identified yet.

Five Indian students have been in a road accident in Canada's Toronto.
India's High Commissioner to Canada, Ajay Bisaria, on Monday, informed that 5 Indian students were killed and two other have been hospitalised. He added that the High Commission team is in touch with friends of the victims for assistance.
According to a report in news agency ANI, the passenger van in which the students were travelling, collided with a tractor trailer. The accident reportedly happened at around 3. 45 am on Saturday at the Ontario highway – Highway 401, when the students were travelling towards west.
The Ontario Police have identified the deceased students as Harpreet Singh, Jaspinder Singh, Karanpal Singh, Mohit Chouhan and Pawan Kumar.
