99 percent complaints from consumers resolved. That's the update Ola Electric has shared with the stock exchanges.
The electric two-wheeler maker has told the exchanges that it has resolved almost 99.1 percent of the 10,644 complaints it received from the Central Consumer Protection Authority or CCPA.
On the seventh of October, the regulatory authority had given Ola Electric fifteen days to resolve all these complaints.
This comes at a time when Ola Electric and its founder Bhavish Aggarwal have been facing a lot of backlash on social media for alleged poor customer service.
In fact, stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra also took on the Ola founder, leading to a big social media showdown between the two.

IPO-bound Ola Electric is planning to lay off 400-500 jobs as it looks to reign in operating costs ahead of the initial public offering, reported The Economic Times. As per the report, the final number may change but the leadership is currently in the process of concluding the scale of layoffs expected across the organisation.&nbsp;

The report further mentioned that a section of the impacted employees may be replaced with new hirings at a relatively cheaper cost. A few teams have already finalised the number of cuts and Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal has been pushing to reduce costs across all revenues.
In April too, Ola Electric had laid off around 200 employees with Ola Cab's CEO Hemant Bakshi and CFO Kartik Gupta exiting the company.&nbsp;
As per the firm's draft IPO papers, Ola had said that it had 3,733 employees as of October 2023, with an employee attrition rate of 47.48% in FY23. As Ola's both the units &ndash; cabs and electric vehicles are in various stages of going public, the group is planning to make them profitable.&nbsp;
For the first quarter of FY24, Ola Electric reported a net loss of Rs 267 crore on operating revenue of Rs 1,243 crore. In FY23, Ola Electric posted a net loss of Rs 1,472 crore on operating revenue of Rs 2,631 crore.&nbsp;

Despite Ola Electric's impressive expansion, India's overall two-wheeler market in CY23 achieved 0.82 million registrations, falling short of the one million mark.

Ola Electric gearing up for a ₹5,500 crore IPO after filing its Draft Red Herring Prospectus last month, has clinched an impressive market share of over 41% in the electric two-wheeler domain. This surge marks its highest achievement in CY23, boasting 30,219 registrations last month alone.
Ola Electric demonstrated robust quarterly performance, with a quarter-on-quarter growth of 48%, amassing a total of 83,963 registrations in the quarter concluding in December. This achievement also reflects a substantial year-on-year growth of 68% when juxtaposed with the same quarter in the previous year.
The surge in Ola Electric's market share appears to be influenced, in part, by a decline in registrations from its top competitors - TVS, Bajaj, and Ather - compared to their November figures.
In November, Ola had a market share of 33.5%, trailing behind Bajaj and TVS, which collectively held 34.6%. However, December saw a notable shift, as their collective share dwindled to 30.8%, mainly due to TVS witnessing a significant 36% drop in registrations from its peak in November.
Despite this remarkable growth for Ola Electric, the overall two-wheeler market in India during CY23 fell short of reaching the one million mark, recording only 0.82 million registrations. Factors such as reduced subsidies mid-year and regulatory challenges were attributed to this shortfall.
This challenging landscape has prompted a rapid consolidation within the industry, with the top four players now commanding a substantial 73.5% of the market share, a significant leap from less than half in CY22. However, the industry's target of hitting 1.2 million registrations in the fiscal year appears distant, given that registrations from April to December only amounted to 0.61 million, just half the projected target.

The new sales record has also translated into a significant market share of over 30 per cent for Ola and a year-on-year growth rate of 300 per cent in May.
Commenting about the growth and achievement, Ola Electric Founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said that month after month, the companies have experienced exponential growth and Ola has consistently led the EV revolution in India. He said the remarkable feat not only reflects the unwavering customer confidence in the brand but also signifies the surging desire for technologically advanced EVs in the country.
With the EV revolution being at the heart of Ola, today the S1 is the most compelling EV proposition in the 2W segment in the country. With the revised subsidies coming into effect starting June, Ola S1 Pro is now priced at ₹1,39,999, S1 (3KWh) at &nbsp;₹1,29,999, and S1 Air (3KWh) at ₹1,09,999.
In addition to its sales success, Ola is actively expanding its offline presence through the establishment of Ola Experience Centers (ECs) across India. Ola claims that these centers play a crucial role in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in the country. Ola recently launched its 600th EC and plans to further expand to 1,000 centers by August. Ola claims that 90 per cent of Ola's customers reside within a 20-kilometer radius of an Ola Experience Center.

Ola Electric, India's largest electric two-wheelers company, is in discussions with financial and legal institutions to pursue the eagerly anticipated initial public offerings (IPOs) scheduled for early 2024, just days after securing $300 million in new capital.
As financial partners for the IPO, the company is reportedly in talks with Kotak, Goldman Sachs, Citibank, and other institutions. It has retained the legal counsel of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.
Founder and promoter Bhavish Aggarwal now holds a 40% share in Ola Electric, which is scheduled to decrease by 2% following a new round of funding.
With a market share of 34% in April and registrations of more than 21,560 electric two-wheelers, Ola is relying on the fact that it is already the leading player in the electric two-wheeler sector. With 8,718 automobiles, TVS is its main rival.
In the upcoming months, the company also plans to introduce 5&ndash;6 new scooter models. According to reports, it also has three to four motorbike models slated for release by year's end.
With significant growth in revenue and market share, Ola's business is anticipated to scale up dramatically as a result. Additionally, it will introduce its most affordable electric scooter in July for less than 85,000 with the intention of multiplexing volume. &nbsp;

While Ola doubles down on EVs to undercut Elon Musk, its employees have revealed founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal's aggressive and unsparing behaviour at work.
A report in Bloomberg suggest that Aggarwal's relentless ambition and management style has created a toxic work culture forcing a dozens of senior executives to leave the firm within a year or two.
Employees said there were instances where Aggarwal used Punjabi epithets at staff and told teams they were 'useless'.
Bloomberg said it interviewed over two dozen present and former Ola employees, who chose to remain anonymous fearing reprisal.
37-year old Aggarwal has big plans for Ola Electric to rival the likes of Elon Musk's Tesla and China's BYD Company.&nbsp;
Although Ola posted its first profit last year, a decade after it was founded, and also remains India&rsquo;s top ride hailing platform ahead of global rival Uber, Aggarwal had to push off an IPO last year.

According to reports, centralising operations and undertaking a restructuring exercise to minimise redundancy is the reason behind the layoff.&nbsp;
The news comes after Ola Electric and several other Electric two-wheeler makers are facing scrutiny over EV fire incidents in the country.
From 12,691 scooters sold in April, the company's sales have been declining every month.&nbsp;
This is not the first time the ride-hailing firm will sack its employees, company had earlier laid off close to 2,000 employees due to the closure of the pre-owned car business, Ola Cars, and quick commerce business Ola Dash.
