Frustrated with the services of Ola, a man in Maharashtra’s Parli Vaijanath tied his electric scooter to a donkey with a rope and paraded it around the town. The bizarre act was a mark of protest against its manufacturer for not fixing the fault in the two-wheeler after it stopped working just 15 days post delivery.
The man identified as Sachin Gitte, tied a donkey to the “faulty” e-scooter and paraded it around Beed with posters and banners urging people not to trust the company.

Another incident comes to light in Tamil Nadu. Prithiviraj, a resident of Tamil Nadu's Tirupattur, voluntarily set his e-bike on fire after reportedly facing several issues. 
As per the reports, the owner of the Ola S1 Pro, burned the scooter because he was unhappy with its performance and range of the scooter. The reports further say that he received the electric scooter three months prior to the incident and has faced issues with the scooter.
The whole incident fueled frustration and anger and Prithviraj poured petrol over the e-bike and set it on fire.

The same day, another fatal fire involving a battery-powered Okinawa scooter reportedly killed a father and a child in Tamil Nadu. There have been 6 known incidents of e-scooters catching fire, 4 of which have been Ola. Vehicles catching fire has been a concern globally. Battery fire risks caused General Motors to recall 100,000 cars, and Hyundai to recall 82,000 cars in 2021.

About Bounce Infinity E1
The version of the scooter that comes with a battery and charger will be sold at ₹68,999.
The ride-sharing firm's Bounce Infinity E1 will be offered with a unique ‘Battery as a service’ option – the first of its kind in the Indian market.
This option allows customers to buy the scooter without purchasing the battery pack. Instead of purchasing the battery, customers can rent the battery from the company and choose a subscription pack to use the swapping network.

This&nbsp;option allows customers to buy the scooter without purchasing the battery pack.&nbsp;Instead of purchasing the battery, customers can rent the battery from the company and choose a subscription pack to&nbsp;use the swapping network.
Customers will be able to swap the battery once it discharges from a nearby swapping station. The startup is building a network of swapping stations, for which it is tapping thousands of gas stations as well as mom and pop stores, in several Indian cities, Bounce said.

The entire process of buying an Ola scooter is online. Finance facilities are also available on the Ola Electric official website.&nbsp;EMIs for the S1 start at Rs 2,999 and Rs 3,199 for Ola S1 Pro. The loan repayment duration is 48 months.
Talking about the features, the S1 Pro packs a 3.9 kWh battery, which can charge fully in 6 hours. Using an Ola Supercharger, it can be charged up to 50% in 18 minutes.
At a full charge, the S1 Pro has a claimed range of 181 km. It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display with connectivity options, cruise control, reverse mode, and built-in speakers, along with a 50-litre boot.
In terms of performance, the S1 Pro can do 0-60 kmph in 5 seconds, and has a top speed of 115 kmph.
