The company achieved a growth of 3.92% and the stock is hovering around $136. This achievement comes shortly after Nvidia overtook Apple, the previous second-place holder. This year, the stock soared by about 173%, starkly contrasting with Microsoft's 19% increase.
In just five months, its market capitalization jumped from $1.21 trillion on January 6, 2024, to its current value of $3.326 trillion
Nvidia has seen soaring demand for its semiconductors which are used to power artificial intelligence applications. The firm's revenue also more than tripled in the last quarter from the same period a year earlier.
Nvidia's data centre revenue which includes AI-related products and services, has now surpassed its video game revenue. The firm has also introduced two new platforms Blackwell Platform and Rubin Platform that could revolutionize computing.

Semi-conductor maker Nvidia on Thursday added $277 billion in a single trading session after reporting more than expected fourth quarter results. This record gain of the stock has now triggered a rally in Indian semiconductor stocks.&nbsp;
Stocks ASM Technologies and SPEL Semiconductor gained up to 10% on Friday.&nbsp;

ASM Technology's shares closed with 10% gain at Rs 926 on Friday. On year-to-year basis, the stock is up more than 78% and in 5 years it has zoomed over 1,500%.

As per Moneycontrol, in February alone, ASM Technology which provides service to reputed semiconductor equipment manufacturers rallied 83%.&nbsp;
&ldquo;ASM Technology saw a lot of buying interest as it came out of 19 years of its consolidation range. A two-year breakout is seen in the stock and hence the demand for shares will be there, basis the chart study,&rdquo; Darpan Patil, founder of Rupic consultancy told Moneycontrol.
<h3>SPEL Semiconductor</h3>
SPEL Semiconductor hit its upper circuit level on Friday morning and closed at Rs 119, gaining 5%. In February so far, the company's shares have surged 56% and in the last one year the shares are up by 195%.&nbsp;
The firm has a semiconductor Integrated Circuit assembly and testing facility. It is also a strategic contract manufacturing partner for several world-leading chipmakers offering packaging solutions for Semiconductors used in diverse end-market applications including communication, consumer electronics, computing, industrials and automotive

Nvidia's stock reached a new height on Thursday with a $277 billion boost to its market cap in a single day surpassing Meta. The chipmaker's shares jumped 16%, nearing a $2 trillion valuation.
This rally has now propelled its CEO Jensen Huang's wealth to $69.2 billion - $9.6 billion rise on Thursday putting him at the cusp of becoming one of the 20 richest people in the world. As recently as early last year Jensen Huang was ranked 128th with a net worth of $13.5 billion in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. He is now the 24th richest man in the world.
<h3>Who is Jensen Huang</h3>
Jensen Huang, the man leading the runaway trillion-dollar firm in his signature moto leather jacket was born in Taiwan and, at age 9, was sent with his brother to live with an uncle in Tacoma, US.
Huang&rsquo;s parents eventually joined him and his brother in the U.S., and the family settled outside Portland, Ore., where Huang went to high school, played competitive tennis, and graduated two years early&mdash;at age 16.

As per a New Yorker profile from 2023, Huang briefly worked as a dishwasher at Denny&rsquo;s. He earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University, and then a master&rsquo;s in the same field from Stanford.
Before Nvidia, Huang had worked as an engineer, designing microprocessors. He was 30 when he co-founded Nvidia in 1993 along with fellow microchip designers Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem.
These young entreprenuers had just $40,000 in the bank between them but had far-sight of how computing is going to evolve.
&ldquo;We believed this model of computing could solve problems that general-purpose computing fundamentally couldn&rsquo;t,&rdquo; Huang told Fortune in 2017. &ldquo;We also observed that video games were simultaneously one of the most computationally challenging problems and would have incredibly high sales volume. Those two conditions don&rsquo;t happen very often. Video games were our killer app&mdash;a flywheel to reach large markets funding huge R&amp;D to solve massive computational problems.&rdquo;
Through a venture capital funding, Nvidia quickly grabbed $20 million including from Sequoia Capital.
<h3>Huang's Leadership</h3>
Jenson Huang is also one of the very few tech founders who&rsquo;s remained at the helm of his company steadily since its inception. As per Fortune&rsquo;s 2017 profile, the billionaire doesn&rsquo;t even keep a desk&mdash;much less a corner office&mdash;opting instead to roam around his building, working in any number of conference rooms he passes. He also has a large arm tattoo resembling his company&rsquo;s logo, which he got in the mid-2000s on a dare from his staff once the company&rsquo;s stock price hit $100.
Huang also believes in authenticity for being good leaders. Its safe to say that Huang's approachability and decency has probably added to his longevity at Nvidia.
&nbsp;&ldquo;They don&rsquo;t dress like a CEO because they think that&rsquo;s what CEOs dress like. They don&rsquo;t talk like CEOs because that&rsquo;s the way they think CEOs talk,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;They don&rsquo;t conduct their meetings and expect people to treat them like CEOs because that&rsquo;s the way they think CEOs are supposed to be treated. They are just who they are&rdquo;, Huang told the New York Times in 2010.

Nvidia's stock price surged over 15% during the US opening trade on Thursday after it reported a stellar set of numbers for the 4th quarter ending January 28th. The stock has soared 7X since October 2022, when the demand for chips surged due to the beginning of the AI boom. For the 4th quarter, the company's revenue soared 265% year-on-year to $22.1 billion, exceeding Wall Street expectations of $20.4 billion. Its full-year revenue came in at $60.9 billion, up 126%.&nbsp; Talking about its latest set of numbers, Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA says, &ldquo;Accelerated computing and generative AI have hit the tipping point. Demand is surging worldwide across companies, industries and nations&rdquo;.&nbsp; &nbsp; For the current quarter the company expects revenue to come in at around $24 billion.
<h3>The rise &amp; rise of Nvidia </h3>
Riding on the AI boom, chipmaker Nvidia's revenues have grown by almost 15X in the last 10 years. As per Wall St Engine, a financial services platform in the U.S, in 2013 the company recorded a revenue of $4.13 billion which rose to a whopping $60.9 billion in 2023.&nbsp; Comparing the November to January quarter performance in the last four years, the revenue of the chip maker has risen over 7X and the net-income by 12X. In Q4FY19 the company reported $3.1 billion in revenue with $951 million in net income. In the same quarter of FY23, the revenue went up to $22.1 billion and net income to $12.3 billion. <h3>Brokerages on Nvidia</h3>
Morgan Stanley has maintained its Overweight rating on NVIDIA and increased the stock's price target to $795 from $750 Bernstein has raised NVIDIA's target to $1,000 from $700, keeping an 'Outperform' rating.&nbsp; JPMorgan raised its price target on Nvidia&rsquo;s stock from $650 to $850. Bank of America Global Research hiked its target price from $800 to $925.

The world's most valuable chip-making firm Nvidia's quarterly revenue soared 265%, projecting stronger sales amidst the spending frenzy on artificial intelligence. In the fourth quarter, the company reported $22.1 billion, exceeding Wall Street expectations of $20.4 billion.

According to LSEG estimates, Nvidia's earnings per share had reached $4.93 in the fourth quarter, beating analysts&rsquo; expectations of $4.59. Likewise, the net income rose 770% to $12.3bn compared to the same period in the previous year.&nbsp;

Nvidia also forecast $11 billion in sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2024 alone. The expected sales were 50% higher than consensus estimates of $7.15 billion. Meanwhile, Jensen Huang, chief executive officer of Nvidia Corp., got a grand celebrity welcome during a trip to Taiwan. The 60-year-old was seen being mobbed constantly by fans and media as he walked the hallways at the Computex trade show.&nbsp;

Nvidia CEO, Jensen Huang, believes artificial intelligence will touch every industry and everyone can be a programmer in today's times thanks to the emerging tech.
He also said that the barrier of programming is incredibly low and everyone can be a programmer now - they just have to say something to the computer.
Huang added that in every computing era people could do different things that were not possible before.
With AI, things that were not possible until now are being done, and the rate of progress, because it's so easy to use, is the reason why it's growing so fast.
