World body snubs fugitive 'godman' Nithyananda: UN reacts after 'Kailasa' members attend event

Fugitive &lsquo;godman&rsquo; Nithyananda has received a snub from the United Nations. The development comes days after &nbsp; two representatives of Nithyananda's self-proclaimed country, the United States of Kailasa, attended a discussion conducted by the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in Geneva.
The UN human rights office said that the submissions made by the representatives were &ldquo;irrelevant&rdquo; and will not be considered in the outcome drafts.
According to PTI, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights said the two representatives &ldquo;were prevented from distributing promotional material and their &lsquo;tangential&rsquo; speech was not taken into consideration&rdquo;.

BJP leader and Union Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs,&nbsp;Nityanand Rai, who is a 'Z' category protectee in the Central govt list, will also get Z category CRPF cover in <a href="https://www.editorji.com/west-bengal-assembly-election" target="_blank" >poll-bound West Bengal</a>.
Nityanand Rai is a central observer for BJP in Bengal. The order is said to have come late on Wednesday evening, with some reports saying Rai is also entitled to a bullet-proof vehicle.&nbsp;Rai will be given CRPF protection only in West Bengal, while in other states he will be given state protection.
Last month, former TMC MLA Rajib Banerjee, who&nbsp;joined the BJP&nbsp;in January, was provided with Z category security in West Bengal by the Ministry of Home Affairs.&nbsp;

The Union Home Ministry in a written response &nbsp;to a question from BJP Rajya Sabha member said on Wednesday that no infiltration has been reported along the India-China border in the last six months even as tensions mount in the Ladakh region. The answer also listed the infiltration attempts on India&rsquo;s border with Pakistan. Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai&rsquo;s response attempted to establish that that India has firmly held on to its positions at the LAC.&nbsp; Defence Minister Rajnath said on Tuesday in the parliament that China doesn't recognise the traditional and customary alignment of the boundary and that &lsquo;the perception of LAC is different for countries&rsquo;

Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai&nbsp;replied in the Lok&nbsp;Sabha&nbsp;that the govt had taken all necessary measures to ensure that during the period of the inevitable lockdown, no citizen should be deprived of basic amenities.He also said Centre had&nbsp;allowed the state governments to use the State Disaster Response Fund on 28th March itself for providing temporary accommodation, food, clothing, medical care to homeless people.&nbsp;
