Netherlands to begin testing the BCG vaccine against Covid-19

There is increasing evidence to show that the century-old tuberculosis vaccine called&nbsp;bacillus Calmette-Guerin shot, or BCG, could protect against respiratory infections.
According to a Bloomberg&nbsp;report, scientists in the Netherlands are all set to test the BCG&nbsp;vaccine on thousands of frail elderly people to check if the vaccine works against the novel coronavirus.&nbsp;
As part of the&nbsp;The Dutch project, which is being led by&nbsp;Radboud University Medical Center in the Netherlands, aims to&nbsp;recruit approximately 7,000 elderly patients over the next two months. The results of the study are expected to be out in the next 6 months.
Researchers hope the old shot is able to bridge the gap and protect those at severe risk.&nbsp;

Olympic flame to go on display in Tokyo

The Olympic flame&nbsp;has been largely hidden since the Tokyo Games were postponed until next year due to the&nbsp;pandemic, but it's going on display in Tokyo.&nbsp;Yoshiro Mori, the president of the Tokyo Olympic organizing committee&nbsp;unveiled the flame at a small ceremony&nbsp;on Monday.&nbsp;The flame which arrived in Japan from Greece in March, will be displayed from Tuesday at the new Japan Olympic Museum for at least the next two months. Visitors would need a reservation to enter the museum, which&nbsp;is&nbsp;just a short walk from the new National Stadium where it was supposed to be burning a month ago. Though The Olympics are set to open on July 23, 2021, but with the Covid-19 situation still out of hands, it's fate remains uncertain.
