In snub to China, India says Australia to join Malabar exercise

India on Monday announced that Australia will join the upcoming Malabar exercise which effectively means that all the four member countries of the &lsquo;Quad&rsquo; or Quadrilateral coalition will be participating in the mega drill.&nbsp;The US and Japan are the other countries that participate in the annual exercise, which is likely to take place next month in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.&nbsp;India&rsquo;s decision to heed to Australia&rsquo;s request to be part of the mega naval drill comes in the midst of growing strain in ties with China over the border row in eastern Ladakh.&nbsp;China has been suspicious about the purpose of the Malabar exercise as it feels that the annual war game is an effort to contain its influence in the Indo-Pacific region.&nbsp;

Kamal Singh, a 20-year-old son of an e-rickshaw driver from Delhi's Vikaspuri has bagged a spot in the prestigious English National Ballet School in London.
This makes Kamal the first Indian to be accepted to the school. His affair with ballet began after watching ABCD:&nbsp;Anybody Can Dance when he was 17 and got himself enrolled at the Imperial Fernando Ballet Company's centre in Vasant Kunj, the Indian Express reported.&nbsp;
Unable to pay its fees, the founder of the ballet school Mario Fernando Aguilera granted Singh a scholarship provided he trained every day.
Fastforward to 2020, Singh is set to start the programme in London next month and has kick-started a fundraiser to enable him to study in the UK.
