The Delhi police said on Sunday that the Global Times contributor Rajeev Sharma was passing sensitive information about&nbsp;India's border strategy.

The Delhi Police said on Sunday that Global Times contributor Rajeev Sharma was passing sensitive information about&nbsp;India's border strategy and&nbsp;Army deployment to Chinese intelligence&nbsp;and classified&nbsp;defence&nbsp;documents have been seized from him.&nbsp;In a press conference, the police said the Chinese intelligence had contacted Sharma, who is a freelance journalist, in 2016 and he was arrested after inputs were provided by the central intelligence agencies.&nbsp;In one-and-a-half years, the police said Sharma received ₹40 lakh from the Chinese intelligence, and the money was passed to him by the arrested Chinese woman and her Nepalese associate through shell companies.&nbsp;&nbsp;The police said Sharma was paid $1,000 for each information.&nbsp;&nbsp;

A Chinese woman and her Nepalese associate have also been arrested for paying Sharma large amounts of money routed through shell companies, the police said.
