In a panel discussion at the &lsquo;India Today Conclave&rsquo;, Neeraj Chopra said that he would expect to continue training with his current coach Klaus Bartonietz until the 20224 Olympics. In a recently concluded 2020 Olympic games, Chopra won the first goal medal for India in a track event under the guidance of his German coach.
Neeraj said that Bartonietz&rsquo;s methods of training suit him as he makes even the most intense sessions entertaining. Earlier Chopra was training under Uwe Hohn who was released conceding multiple differences with the Athletic Federation.
Recalling his preparations for the event the golden boy mentions that he only did a couple of warm-up throws before finals because he wanted to save his energy. He also had to cut his hair since it was hindering his throws during the training sessions. Chopra didn&rsquo;t fail to underline the importance of mental fitness, saying a good sleep and a clear head is a priority just like his physical fitness.
