Pak’s anti-corruption body approves fresh case against Nawaz Sharif

Pakistan&rsquo;s anti-corruption body has approved a new case against deposed premier Nawaz Sharif, days after Prime Minister Imran Khan urged the authorities to dispose of major graft cases quickly.
a fresh case was approved against Sharif along with former foreign secretary Aizaz Chaudhry, former Intelligence Bureau chief Aftab Sultan Sultan and Sharif&rsquo;s ex-personal secretary Fawad Hasan Fawad for &ldquo;illegally&rdquo; purchasing 73 high-security vehicles for the security of foreign dignitaries.
A total of 11 cases were approved at NAB&rsquo;s Executive Board Meeting on Thursday.
Sharif, the 70-year-old supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) who was ousted from power in 2017 by the Supreme Court on corruption charges, is currently in London for medical treatment.

Zardari, Gilani indicted, Nawaz declared proclaimed offender

A Pakistan anti-corruption court on Wednesday indicted former president Asif Ali Zardari and ex-prime minister Yusuf Raza Gillani, while declaring former premier Nawaz Sharif an absconder in the Toshakhana graft case.&nbsp;The graft case is about alleged relaxation of rules by Gilani, for the benefit of Zardari, and Sharif to buy vehicles gifted by foreign countries.&nbsp;Sharif is accused of obtaining luxury cars from the treasury house by paying just 15 per cent of the price of these vehicles.&nbsp;Similarly, Zardari and Gilani, are also accused of receiving luxury vehicles and gifts from the treasure house.
