Star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has reportedly reached the National Cricket Academy (NCA), where he will train to regain full fitness.
Jadeja, who was ruled out of the T20 World Cup and two tours to New Zealand and Bangladesh post that, is eyeing to make a comeback in the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka.
The 34-year-old returned from Asia Cup after the first two games following an injury in an off-day training exercise. He underwent knee surgery in Mumbai.

Indian star cricketer Suryakumar Yadav has joined Mumbai Indians after recovering from his finger injury. Suryakumar suffered a finger injury during the home series against West Indies last month and was undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy. The second-leading run-scorer for Mumbai Indians in the last IPL season, Suryakumar is one of the most important assets for team Mumbai. Having lost their first match against Delhi Capitals by four wickets, Mumbai Indians would be looking forward to bounce back against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday.

Former India cricketer VVS&nbsp;Laxman&nbsp;is all set to be appointed as the head of the National Cricket Academy.&nbsp;The post became vacant ever since Rahul&nbsp;Dravid&nbsp;was appointed as the head coach of India's senior cricket team.
A BCCI source confirmed to India Today that the board was in constant talks with Laxman as they wanted to have someone who could take the responsibility in a better way after Dravid. BCCI had several rounds of talks with him but initially, he didn't want to join, but now he is ready, added the source. An announcement will be made soon.
Laxman is a batting consultant for Bengal in domestic cricket and is also a team mentor for Sunrises Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.

With reports of Ravi Shastri&nbsp;having told few BCCI&nbsp;members of his plans of not continuing as Team India's head coach after the World T20, speculations of Rahul&nbsp;Dravid&nbsp;taking over the top job did the rounds.
But this wish of many Indian cricket fans doesn't seem to be coming true as Dravid, who was appointed as India's coach for the Sri&nbsp;Lanka&nbsp;tour, has&nbsp;reapplied for the position of Head of Cricket at the National Cricket Academy.&nbsp;However,&nbsp;a senior BCCI source told PTI&nbsp;that&nbsp;there are no other prominent names of stature who have applied for the post. As a result, the Indian board&nbsp;extended the deadline for submission of applications by a few more days to ensure that interested candidates get enough time to apply.
As per the new constitution, since there is no provision for extension and the hiring process has to start afresh,&nbsp;BCCI had to invite applications after&nbsp;Dravid's&nbsp;2-year contract had ended.

IPL 2020: BCCI hit by more Covid-19 cases

After 13 cases in the Chennai Super&nbsp;Kings camp, a BCCI&nbsp;member in the UAE&nbsp;has tested positive for Covid-19.

The Covid-19 situation is getting worse for the BCCI&nbsp;as&nbsp;a member of its contingent has tested positive in Dubai. A senior IPL official confirmed the news to&nbsp;PTI&nbsp;but didn't specify&nbsp;whether the case is from cricket operations team or the medical team. He though added that there was no cause of concern as testing was on and everyone else is healthy and asymptomatic. If true, this would be the 14th positive case&nbsp;from the IPL contingent in the UAE. 13 members of Chennai super Kings including 2 India players had earlier tested positive and are in isolation. Apart from that,&nbsp;2 people at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru including a senior member of the BCCI medical team have also tested positive for the deadly virus.
