Actor Natalie Portman and Choreographer Benjamin Millepied have finalised divorce this February after 11 years of marriage. As People reported, the couple filed for divorce in July 2023. Portman and Millepied share two children together, son 12-year-old Aleph, and 7-year-old daughter Amalia.&nbsp;
<h3>Divorce was tough on Natalie&nbsp;</h3>
A mutual friend of the couple has revealed that the divorce was tough on Natalie. The friend told People, "It was initially really tough for her, but her friends rallied around her and helped get her through the worst of it, for Portman confirmed to the portal that the divorce wasn't easy for Portman." The insider further added, "Natalie is coming out of a tough and painful year but she's come out the other side of it stronger and is finding joy in her family, friends and work."

The actor and her choreographer husband hit rock bottom in May 2023, after news reports of Millepied's 'short-lived' extramarital affair first surfaced. Despite finalising their divorce, the couple continued to make media appearances together, showing their unity as a family.&nbsp;

Hollywood star Natalie Portman and her husband-choreographer Benjamin Millepied have parted ways after being married for 11 years.
According to Us Weekly, the decision comes following Benjamin&rsquo;s alleged affair with climate activist Camille Etienne.

Natalie and Benjamin share two children &ndash; son Aleph and daughter Amalia.
In June, an insider told Us Weekly that Natalie believed 'Benjamin&rsquo;s affair was a brief and stupid liaison that means nothing to him' and she was &lsquo;willing to see if she&rsquo;s capable of rebuilding her trust&rsquo; in him to make sure that their kids don&rsquo;t 'grow up in a broken home'.
Natalie and Benjamin met while working on Darren Aronofsky&rsquo;s thriller &lsquo;Black Swan&rsquo; in 2009.
On the work front, Natalie Portman will be seen in &lsquo;May December&rsquo;. Helmed by Todd Haynes, the movie will release on Netflix later this year.

We talked about it during quarantine in an abstract way, but then put it on and worked out, okay, this was a pious man with tattoos and he’s cut those off and so we’d have all of those scars. And that’s when you really get to start playing with it and experiment as you film. You discover it as you go.'
Adding to that, he said, 'There’s a great pleasure in playing a villain. It’s a lot easier to play a villain than to play a hero. Chris [Hemsworth] had a much tougher job. Everyone is fascinated with bad guys, immediately. And then the beauty of it is that Taika can make it bloody hilarious and then really moving as well, in this story. And then I don’t know if it’s pushing it too much to say sympathy, but certainly, you sort of understand, maybe, why this guy is making awful decisions. And he is a monster, he is a butcher, but there’s a possible understanding of why he came to be that way.'
We have seen some really terrifying villains that have gone by in a snap, (pun intended). But having a nuanced villain such as Gorr, whose tragic backstory and existential stirring ideologies surely make him all the more dangerous and exciting to look forward to.
