The MP from Bengaluru South had sparked controversy after he said that the only way to save Hinduism is to reconvert Muslims and Christians.
He further said that all temples and Hindu religious places should set themselves yearly targets of bringing people back to what he called their 'mother religion'. 
'Either by force or fraud, the Hindu has been taken away from his mother religion. There is only one solution to address this anomaly, those people who have left their mother religion and have, for various socio-political, economic reasons over the course of India's history, gone out of the Hindu fold must be brought back. They must have brought back to the mother faith,' the BJP Yuva Morcha chief said. 
Surya was speaking on 'Hindu Revival' at the Sri Krishna Mutt in Karnataka's Udupi.

The religious assembly, being referred to as Haridwar "Hate Assembly", sparked a row after videos of Hindu leaders,  including Yati Narsinghanand, making provocative speeches and inciting violence against minority communities surfaced on social media.
The event, where bone-chilling calls to arms and violence were made was also attended by BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay, who was earlier arrested in a case of anti-Muslim slogans at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.
"We are writing to your Lordship hoping for prompt action in your capacity as the head of the judicial wing of the State and knowing your Lordship's commitment to both the independence of Judiciary as also the constitutional values that are fundamental to the functioning of a multicultural nation such as ours," the advocates have appealed.

Bandra magistrate court has ordered registration of an FIR against actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister &amp; manager&nbsp;Rangoli Chandel&nbsp;for allegedly creating communal tension between Hindus &amp; Muslims through their&nbsp;tweets and interviews.
According to reports, the court passed the order on a complaint by casting director and fitness trainer Munnawarali Sayyed&nbsp;who demanded the Ranauts be booked&nbsp;for promoting enmity&nbsp;between groups &amp; insulting religious feeling.&nbsp;
Last week, a Karnataka&nbsp;court directed the police to book Kangana Ranaut for her tweet on farmers.&nbsp;

Mumbai Police on Tuesday issued a show-cause notice to Republic TV's Editor-in-Chief ArnabGoswami over his alleged communal comments during his coverage of the Palghar lynching case and the Bandra migrants incident in April this year. Goswami&nbsp;has been asked why&nbsp;a bond of good behaviour should not be taken from him, a police official told PTI.&nbsp;He has been asked to appear before the Special Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Worli Division on Friday at 4 pm.&nbsp;

Mumbai, PTI: Mumbai Police on Tuesday issued a show-cause notice to Republic TV's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami over his alleged communal comments during his coverage of the Palghar lynching case and the Bandra migrants incident in April this year. The notice has been sent under section 108 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), asking Mr Goswami to show reasons as to why a bond of good behaviour should not be taken from him, a police official said.
He has been asked to appear before the Special Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Worli Division on Friday at 4 pm, the official added.
On April 21, Arnab Goswami conducted a debate on his show "Puchhta Hain Bharat" on Republic Bharat about the attack on two monks and their driver in Maharashtra's Palghar.
The show-cause notice said during the debate (in Hindi), Mr Goswami asked whether it was a crime to be Hindu and wear saffron clothes and whether people would have remained silent had the victims not been Hindus.
A case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for "giving provocation to cause riot" and "promoting enmity between different groups on the basis of religion" and other sections has been registered against Mr Goswami following the program, it added.
His comments could create communal disharmony and hatred between Hindus and Muslims, and the show evoked strong reactions on YouTube, the notice said.
Only because of the coronavirus pandemic there was no violence but the comments posed a threat to communal integrity and law and order, so as a preventive action the police had now started the process of taking an undertaking for good behaviour from Arnab Goswami, the official said.
A bond of ₹ 10 lakh for the duration of one year with one guarantor "who is well-known in society and who can control his behaviour" will be taken from Mr Goswami, he added.

Calling it the dawn of a new Middle East, Trump said that courage of the three leaders will bring a future in which people of all faiths and backgrounds live together in peace and prosperity. The Arab Accord, which is a set of bilateral agreements with Israel, does not mention the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Washington, PTI: US President Donald Trump on Tuesday hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain for the signing of the historic Abraham Accord, which is the first Arab-Israeli peace deal in 26 years.
"We are here this afternoon to change the course of history. After decades of division and conflict we mark the dawn of a new Middle East," Trump said, moments before the accord was signed at the South Lawns of the White House.
The UAE was represented by Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed and Bahrain by Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani. The Arab Accord -- essentially bilateral agreements with Israel -- does not mention the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
"Thanks to the great courage of the leaders of these three countries we take a major stride towards a future in which people of all faiths and backgrounds live together in peace and prosperity," Trump said.
The president pointed out that these were the only two peace deals between Israel and the Arab States in more than a quarter of a century. Egypt was the first Arab State to sign a peace deal with Israel in 1979. Jordon signed a peace pact in 1994.
"Now we have achieved two in a single month and there are more to follow," Trump said.
As per the agreements, the UAE and Bahrain will establish embassies, exchange ambassadors, cooperate and work together with Israel across a range of sectors, including tourism, trade, healthcare and security. "They are friends. The Abraham Accords also open the door for Muslims around the world to visit the historic sites in Israel and to peacefully pray at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, the third holiest site in Islam," Trump said, amidst applause and cheer from more than 200 invited guests.
Together these agreements will serve as the foundation for comprehensive peace across the entire region, Trump said.
Netanyahu described the accord as a "pivot of history", heralding a new dawn. "For thousands of years the Jewish people have prayed for peace. For decades, the Jewish state has prayed for peace and this is why today we are filled with such profound gratitude," he said.
"You have heard from the president that he has already lined up more and more countries. This was unimaginable a few years ago. But with resolve, determination, a fresh look at the way peace is done, this is being achieved," Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu said Israel is eager to invest in a future of prosperity, and peace.
"We've already begun to cooperate on combating coronavirus and I am sure that together we can find solutions to many of the problems that afflict our region and beyond," he said.
Foreign Minister Zayed said the UAE is witnessing a change in the Middle-East, one that gives hope around the world.
