Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has been detained by Bengaluru police in connection with a murder case. He has been reportedly detained from a farmhouse in Mysuru.

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has been detained by Bengaluru police. The action has been taken in connection with a murder case. Initial reports suggest that he has been detained from a farmhouse in Mysuru.&nbsp;
<h2>Police Statement on detention</h2>
Bengaluru Police also confirmed the action in a statement. &ldquo;Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has been taken into custody for questioning in connection with a murder case registered at Kamakshipalya police station,&rdquo; Girish, DCP West Bengaluru said. Actor Darshan is allegedly involved in the murder case of Renuka Swamy from Chitradurga. Besides Darshan, ten other persons have been arrested in connection with the murder case.&nbsp;
<h2>Karnataka Home Minsiter statement</h2>
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said leading Kannada film actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is being subjected to an inquiry by police in connection with an alleged murder and whether he is involved or not would be known only after the investigation. "A person from Chitradurga was murdered in Bengaluru. In connection with that murder some people have been arrested, and during their inquiry Darshan's name has come, so he has been brought for inquiry," Parameshwara told reporters here.
According to reports, Darshan&rsquo;s name was revealed by an accused in the murder case. The sandalwood actor was allegedly in constant touch with the accused. If reports are to be believed, he also halted his shooting midway in Mysuru yesterday, citing exhaustion from collection issues.&nbsp;
<h2>About the murder case&nbsp;</h2>
Renuka Swamy had allegedly sent inappropriate messages and posted obscene comments about actor Pavithra Gowda, who is reportedly close to actor Darshan. Swamy was found dead in a shed in Kamakshi Palya, Mysuru two days ago. While there was a suspicion of suicide initially, further investigation revealed it to be a murder.&nbsp;

Two people have been arrested after a five-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh&rsquo;s Agra was kidnapped and killed by her uncle over a land dispute. &nbsp; The victim, a resident of Pharaira village, was abducted from her house on March 19. The girl's family said the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of ₹6 lakh for her safe return.&nbsp; After he was unable to arrange the amount, the girl's father informed the police about the kidnapping, following which, the police launched a search operation. The girl's body was found on a mustard field in the village on March 21.&nbsp; Amit, the girl&rsquo;s uncle was arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder. He confessed to the crime and revealed that his friend, Nikhil, a resident of the neighbouring village, had helped him, India Today reported.&nbsp; The murder allegedly took place on Nikhil&rsquo;s farm, and he too has been arrested.&nbsp;
During the questioning by the police, Amit alleged the girl&rsquo;s grandfather had cheated him by buying 5 bighas of his land at a low price. He said the crime was an attempt to recover the amount lost in the land deal.&nbsp; When the girl&rsquo;s father could not pay the ransom amount, Amit killed the girl.&nbsp;
