In an interview to ANI, Rajkumar Hirani opened up about the possibility of 'Munna Bhai 3'. The 'Dunki' director revealed that he has a few half-baked scripts.&nbsp;

Embracing the decent success of his film &lsquo;Dunki&rsquo; at the box office, director Rajkumar Hirani is now preparing for his next projects. In a recent interview, Hirani dropped the hint that he might collaborate with Sanjay Dutt soon for the third installment of their superhit &lsquo;Munna Bhai&rsquo; series.&nbsp; Speaking to ANI, Hirani said, &ldquo;Man to hai ki ek Munna Bhai aur banani hai&rdquo;. The director, however, added that he does not know when the project will commence. He said that he has 5 half-baked scripts for the next part but it&rsquo;s a struggle because the last 2 films turned out really well. Hirani also revealed that he keeps speaking to Sanjay Dutt in this regard and Sanjay also feels that a film should be made. The &lsquo;Dunki&rsquo; director said that now that he is done with the film, he will think about the other projects. &nbsp; Box office success has been a trademark of Hirani as his films &lsquo;Sanju&rsquo;, &lsquo;PK&rsquo; and &lsquo;3 Idiots&rsquo; were blockbusters. He has been receiving mixed reviews for his latest release &lsquo;Dunki&rsquo; even as the film continues to mint money in theatres. &nbsp;
As Hirani gears up for his next projects, Sanjay Dutt starrer &lsquo;Munna Bhai&rsquo; completed 20 years recently. Celebrating the occasion, Dutt shared glimpses from the film and expressed gratitude. Apart from Dutt, Arshad Warsi, and Boman Irani have been a significant part of the last 2 films.

Actor Sanjay Dutt took to social media to give a shoutout to director Vidhu Vinod Chopra for his upcoming film &lsquo;12th Fail&rsquo; with Vikrant Massey. While praising the film, he hinted that the third installment in the popular &lsquo;Munna Bhai&rsquo; franchise could be on the cards.

For the unversed, Vidhu Vinod Chopra was the one who produced the first two films.
Recently, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, and Rajkumar Hirani left fans excited after they were spotted together on a set. Their reunion led to speculations about &lsquo;Munna Bhai 3&rsquo;. However, it was later reported that the same was for an advertisement.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Sanjay and Arshad shot an ad for a hospital. &lsquo;There is no film in the making. They shot for a commercial for a hospital, and the BTS video was released online, which started the rumours,&rsquo; a source told HT.
The report further stated that &lsquo;Munna Bhai 3&rsquo; may never happen. A source told the publication, &lsquo;There are very less chances of the third film happening now because of the fallout between Rajkummar Hirani and (producer) Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It has been several years since they parted ways. In fact, there was a film with a working title Munna Bhai Chale America, but that was soon shelved without any reason. The script was finalised and the pre-production had also started, but it could not happen.&rsquo;
