Local train services and road traffic were disrupted due to the heavy downpur. The Andheri subway resembled a canal as fast flowing water gushed through it.
People were seen wading through almost knee-deep water at the city's Sion Circle. A video by news agency ANI also shows a group of people dressed in fluorescent orange overalls helping people.&nbsp;

6 districts of Maharashtra - Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Kolhapur - have been put on alert and been asked to prepare to evacuate residents in flood-prone areas. NDRF teams have also been deployed.&nbsp;

The city saw rains on Tuesday morning too but the Met department had termed them as pre-monsoon showers. Mumbai civc body BMC held an urgent meeting on monsoon preparedness as various parts of Mumbai and its suburbs witnessed water-logging due to pre-monsoon rains.

The heavy rainfall has lead to flooded roads and subways, and disruption in traffic and local train services
Waterlogging has been reported from several low-lying areas in Mumbai, including the Gandhi Market area of King Circle, from Sion and the Milan subway in Vile Parle.
Mumbai Local train services between Kurla &amp; Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus were halted as water has been flowing over tracks. Central railway CPRO said traffic has been stopped as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incident and will resume as soon as water recedes
