The transfer ban on Mohun Bagan Super Giant was on Tuesday lifted by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, clearing the way for the club to sign new players ahead of the upcoming season.
The ban, imposed on May 5 over non-payment of dues to Australian striker Jason Cummings' former club Central Coast Mariners, was revoked following prompt action by the club.
Mohun Bagan had submitted a 107-page document to FIFA and responded to two subsequent queries from the governing body.
&ldquo;Mohun Bagan submitted a 107-page document to FIFA and thereafter there were two queries, and finally the disciplinary committee has sent a mail lifting the ban,&rdquo; a Mohun Bagan Super Giant official told PTI.
Unlike Mumbai City FC, whose similar ban took nearly three months to be lifted, Mohun Bagan managed to resolve the issue within a month.
The transfer window opened on June 9, and the club can now proceed unhindered with its team-building efforts for the new season.
The news comes days after a new president Debasish Dutta and general secretary Srinjoy Bose took charge of the club.

Mohun Bagan beat Punjab FC 3-0, becoming the first to secure an ISL play-off spot. Maclaren scored twice, Colaco added another, marking their 46th point in 20 matches.

In a commanding display, Mohun Bagan Super Giant emerged victorious with a 3-0 win over Punjab FC to become the first team this season to secure a spot in the Indian Super League (ISL) play-offs. With this triumph, Mohun Bagan now tops the league table with 46 points from 20 matches, boasting 14 wins and four draws.
The victory was orchestrated by a stellar second-half brace from Jamie Maclaren (56th and 90th minutes) and a precise finish by Liston Colaco (63rd minute), ensuring all three points for the table leaders. This victory marked their ninth consecutive home win and their 12th clean sheet of the season.
The Mariners began the match with flair, creating several dangerous opportunities through Greg Stewart. The Scotsman nearly opened the scoring in the 10th minute, but his effort was thwarted by Punjab FC's goalkeeper Ravi Kumar. Although dominant, the hosts couldn't break through Punjab FC's defense before the first-half drinks break.
Just prior to half-time, Mohun Bagan had an excellent chance on a counter-attack. A favorable ricochet found Liston Colaco, but his long-range shot lacked the power to trouble Ravi Kumar.
In a tactical adjustment, Jose Molina introduced Ashique Kuruniyan for Asish Rai at the start of the second half, altering the Mariners' backline. Subhasish Bose moved to center-back alongside Alberto Rodriguez, Ashique covered left-back, and Dippendu Biswas took on right-back duties.
Punjab FC's best opportunity came in the 55th minute. Abhishek Meetei's play set up Ezequiel Vidal on the left, who expertly found Petros Giakoumakis in the penalty area. Unfortunately, Giakoumakis' shot struck the post.
Moments later, Mohun Bagan capitalized on a missed chance from Punjab FC, as Maclaren scored a superb goal in the 56th minute. Dippendu Biswas delivered a cross from the right, which Maclaren controlled and placed into the net beyond Ravi Kumar.
The hosts doubled their lead when Liston Colaco scored from a tight angle in the 63rd minute, following a run down the left flank. Greg Stewart's presence added pressure on the Punjab FC backline.
Mohun Bagan sealed their victory in the 90th minute as Asish Pradhan's heavy touch allowed Cummings to gain possession. Cummings then passed to Maclaren, who finished the move smoothly to complete his brace.
This emphatic win underscores Mohun Bagan's dominance as they continue their quest for ISL glory.

Saul Crespo (53rd) struck his maiden goal of the Indian Super League to pull one back for East Bengal but Mohun Bagan were back at their dominant best and ensured that there was no more blip to hold on to the 3-1 scoreline.
The win took Mohun Bagan past Mumbai City in the lead spot of the standings on goal difference and to the playoff spot.
Both sides now have 36 points each but Mohun Bagan have one match in hand and remain firm favourties for the Shield.
With the loss, East Bengal are out of play-off race.
Mohun Bagan had an early chance in the 8th minute when Petratos slotted a cross in for an unmarked Cummings from the left, but his header was wayward.
In the 13th minute, East Bengal were awarded a penalty after Vishal Kaith tripped Cleiton who had the ball possession. But as it turned out, Kaith produced a beauty of a save, outstretched to his left to save the Cleiton spotkick.
Out of nowhere, Cummings found himself in perfect position from the edge of the box to score from a rebound off East Bengal goalkeeper to give Mohun Bagan the much-needed lead.
It was Joni Kauko who initiated the move from the midfield before Sahal took the possesion but a misclearance from an East Bengal defender saw the ball in the path of Petratos.
The Australian was quick to fire the shot but only to be pushed away by a diving goalkeeper. Cummings was quick to take control of the ball and score off a right-footed strike to the top left corner.
Within 10 minutes, Colaco extended Mohun Bagan lead in a similar fashion like the previous one. This time the ball ricochetted off the post from a Petratos strike only to come back to him again.
The Australian then gave it back to an unmarked Colaco on the far post with a first touch as the Indian midfielder does the needful to give Mohun Bagan a 2-0 lead.
Sahal was tripped by Nandha Kumar in the first-half injury time as Mohun Bagan got another penalty and this time Petratos got it right to make it 3-0 at halftime.

Following a delayed start, Mohun Bagan dominated the proceedings against the I-League promoted side and had a 2-0 cushion going into halftime with goals from Jason Cummings (ninth) and Dimitri Petratos (34th).
After the changeover, Luka Majcen (53rd) pulled one back from a sloppy back pass by Glan Martins.
But it was not enough as Mohun Bagan pumped in another through India forward Manvir Singh (63rd) to start the season on an emphatic note.
Set up by India midfielder Sahal Abdul Samad, Cummings took a left-footed strike from the right side of the six-yard box to give the Mariners an early lead, which was doubled through Petratos, who utilised a pass from Liston Colaco before launching his left-footed shot into the bottom right corner.
Minutes after he was brought in as a replacement for Subhasish Bose, Manvir used a Petratos cross to shoot to the top left corner with his powerful right-footed strike.
The match was delayed by 35 minutes to avoid broadcasting issues as the first match of the day between Odisha FC and Chennaiyin FC was interrupted due to bad weather.

The Golden Gloves-winning goalkeeper of the World Cup 2022 will be on a private visit to Kolkata in July

World Cup-winning Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez will inaugurate Mohun Bagan's 'Pele-Maradona-Sobers Gate' during his visit to the club on July 4, it was announced on Tuesday.
"Martinez will be felicitated and will also look around the infrastructure of our club and meet some selected members," Mohun Bagan stated in a release after their executive committee meeting.
The Golden Gloves-winning goalkeeper of the World Cup 2022 will be on a private visit to the city where he will also have a host of other programmes lined up.
Mohun Bagan have formed a five-member committee with general secretary Debashish Dutta, among others, for the smooth conduct of the programme.
The club has also decided to send a "letter of gratitude" to their ISL football team owners Sanjiv Goenka.
"A letter to express sincere gratitude will be sent to Sanjiv Goenka for being the champion of ISL and understanding the sentiment of the Mariners and changing the name of our football team to 'Mohun Bagan Super Giant'," it added.
The club will also inaugurate a media centre which will be named after their former general secretary Anjan Mitra, it added.

In 1977, playing for the star-studded New York Cosmos, Pele faced a spirited Mohun Bagan at the jam-packed Eden Gardens.

Much before Diego Maradona's 'Hand of God' moment stirred the football passion in Bengal, it was the Brazilian legend Pele who began the region's tryst with the 'beautiful game'.
Playing against Mohun Bagan at a jam-packed Eden Gardens in September 1977, the three-time World Cup winner was overwhelmed by the depth of talent the Indian club possessed.
Desperately seeking a revival after the dominance of arch-rivals East Bengal, Mohun Bagan not only stopped the 'King of Football' from scoring a goal but almost won 2-1 before a controversial penalty made it a 2-2 draw against the star-studded New York Cosmos.
But that wasn't the only visit Pele made to Kolkata.
In 2015, he was in the city during the Durga Puja festive period. Pele left even the former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, a Brazil fan, mesmerised by his aura.&nbsp;
