A new report by Economic Times claims that the Indian government is planning to test all phones sold in India for data security and snooping concerns. Government agencies, along with the IT Ministry, are reportedly looking into framing a set of guidelines that is aimed at Chinese manufacturers. The government may test the source code or follow up with component manufacturers of a phone, or look closely at pre-installed apps and where they&rsquo;re sending data. Last year, the government had banned over 200 Chinese apps over data security concerns, among which were some apps that came pre-installed with Xiaomi phones.

Kumari&nbsp;said that girls shouldn't be given mobile phones because they speak to boys for hours and then run away. She added that family members are not aware of these things as the phones never get checked.&nbsp;
The thought of mobiles being taken away from her children would make a lot of mothers happy in general but Meena&nbsp;Kumari's&nbsp;statement will perhaps&nbsp;antagonise them. The UP women's panel member&nbsp;indirectly blamed mothers for rapes and said that if girls are careless then their mothers are responsible.&nbsp;

NPCI says the PhonePe digital payments platform processed 902.03 million transactions in December, a total of ₹1,82,126.88 crores. Google Pay, on the other hand, recorded 854.49 million transactions, amounting to ₹1,76,199.33 crores.
