A minor, who was a rape survivor in Madhya Pradesh's Indore, killed her two-month-old baby after she failed to look after the child due to poverty, said a police official.
A case has been registered and the accused, who happens to be the rape survivor herself, has been arrested.
The girl has confessed to her crime, said Rajesh Vyas, Additional DCP, Indore.
"A few days ago, a minor girl was raped after which she gave birth to a child. Her family members were putting pressure on her to get married. She was frustrated and killed her two-month-old baby. She has confessed to her crime," he said.
The officer informed that the incident came to light after the post-mortem of the infant revealed the murder.
"The post-mortem of the dead child has been done. It revealed the act of murder. A case has been registered and the girl has been arrested," Mr Vyas said.

A second person out of five accused has been nabbed in the gang rape case of a teenager that rocked Hyderabad.
While his identity was not disclosed, a report in NDTV said that he is the son of a local leader of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's Telangana Rashtra Samiti party.
The incident which allegedly involves children and grandchildren of politicians has triggered a massive outcry in the city. The first arrest in the case was made yesterday and the incident reportedly took place in the Jubilee Hill area of the city. 
Three of the accused are minors and the survivor is a 17-year-old girl. The police identified the accused with the help of CCTV footage and the statement of the survivor. 
The crime was reported by the survivor's father on May 31.

Three out of five accused have been nabbed in the gang rape case of a teenager that rocked Hyderabad. Two of the three arrested are reportedly juveniles.
One of the juveniles arrested is&nbsp;the son of a local leader of ruling&nbsp;Telangana&nbsp;Rashtra&nbsp;Samiti&nbsp;party, as per a&nbsp;NDTV&nbsp;report.
The incident which allegedly involves children and grandchildren of politicians has triggered a massive outcry.
The police identified the accused with the help of CCTV&nbsp;footage and the statement of the 17-year-old survivor. According to the police, out of the 5 accused, 3 are minors. The incident reportedly took place in the Jubilee Hill area of the city.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, the apex child rights body&nbsp;National Commission for Protection of Child Rights or&nbsp;NCPCR has sought an explanation from the Hyderabad police over the delay in registration of FIR in the case. They have also sought the registration of an FIR against a city pub for allowing entry to minors.

An 81-year-old artist-cum-teacher was arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Noida on Sunday for allegedly raping a girl over a period of more than seven years, police officials said.
"Accused Maurice Ryder has been arrested after an FIR was lodged against him under Indian Penal Code Sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation). He is accused of digital rape of a 17-year-old girl over the last seven years," a police spokesperson said.
The term "digital rape" means forced sex using fingers or toes. Such offences earlier did not fall under the ambit of rape.
Ryder, an artist-cum-teacher, was arrested by officials of the local Sector 39 police station on Sunday.
"The girl lives here with her guardian, who has been a friend of the accused for around 20 years now. The guardian had lodged the complaint in the case," SHO Sector 39 Rajeev Kumar told PTI.
The accused was presented in a local court after his arrest and has been sentenced to 14 days judicial custody, Kumar added.
In India, classification of a sexual offence as "digital rape" took place in the wake of the brutal Nirbhaya gang-rape case of 2012, which had shocked the nation and led to reforms in the country's criminal law to increase the ambit of crimes perceived as 'rape'.
While its offenders are now booked under the much wider IPC section 376 (rape), the usage of the term "digital rape" and conviction in such cases still remains relatively low in the country.

A case has been registered against six people, including a station house office (SHO) for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh's Lalitpur district.
The matter has been registered under Pali police station, where the minor was lured by four youth and was taken to Bhopal on April 22 and allegedly raped her. The teenager somehow escaped and reached her home and went to the police to register a complaint where the station in-charge allegedly raped the teenager before handing her over to the Childline Welfare committee, the police said.
When the teenager was questioned by the ChildLine officials, the victim narrated the whole incident, after which the ChildLine welfare committee reached out to the Lalitpur Superintendent of police about the crime. Following this, the SP immediately filed a case of gang-rape against six people including SHO Tilakdhari Saroj.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Nikhil Pathak said that the SHO has been suspended and a team has been constituted for the arrest of all the accused.

The Samajwadi Party attacked the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government over the incident, asking where should "daughters go" and "whom to trust" in this government.
"The biggest question in the BJP government is whom to trust and whom to not. A minor, who reached the police station to file rape complaint was raped by the SHO himself.
"Now the CM should tell, where should victim daughters go? Security of the victim should be ensured and strict action should be taken against those found guilty," the party said in a tweet in Hindi.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is expected to go to Lalitpur to meet the rape survivor's family.
Attacking the state government in series of tweets, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, "The incident of gangrape with a 13-year-old girl in Lalitpur and then rape by a police officer after taking a complaint shows how the real reforms of law and order are being suppressed in the noise of "bulldozer". If police station are not safe for women, where will they go with their complaints." "Has the UP government seriously thought about increasing the deployment of women in police stations, making them safer for women? The Congress party had in its women's manifesto had made many important points for women security..Today its Lalitpur...", she said.
To prevent such incidents, serious steps should be taken for women's safety and women friendly law system, she added.&nbsp;
