India on Tuesday&nbsp;got its first woman underground coal miner with Jharkhand&rsquo;s Akanksha Kumari breaking all the sealing.
In a tweet shared, Central Coalfields Limited - a subsidiary of Coal India - said that Akanksha Kumari became is the second mining engineer in the Maharatna Conglomerate Coal India Limited (CIL) and the first one to work in an underground coal mine.&nbsp;
Born in Hazaribagh&rsquo;s Barkagaon,&nbsp;Kumari&nbsp;joined Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) at its Churi underground mines in the North Karanpura area of Jharkhand.
Akansha, a resident of Barkagaon in Hazaribagh, completed her graduation from&nbsp;BIT Sindri. Belonging to a mining belt, Kumari said the mysteries of mining always fascinated her.
Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi, along with the&nbsp;official Twitter account of the Ministry of Coal congratulated the engineer and wrote: "You are an inspiration to many women."

Women in India were barred from working in underground mines until as recently as 2019, when the government&nbsp;amended&nbsp;the law. Women in India as per data available comprise of less than a quarter of the labour force.

The Adani group had planned the project in 2010 with an investment of A$16.5 billion but later scaled it down to A$2 billion. The project will produce 10 million tonnes of coal per year.&nbsp;The Adani&nbsp;chief also shared an image of celebrating his birthday with his family. "It is a blessing to be celebrating my birthday surrounded by those I trust and love. Thank you, @AdaniPriti and my dear family, for always being my joy, my compass and my inspiration," he tweeted.
