The official remakes of three Hindi classics &lsquo;Koshish&rsquo;, &lsquo;Mili&rsquo; and &lsquo;Bawarchi&rsquo; have been announced. The remakes are currently in various stages of development and they will be jointly produced by filmmakers Anushree Mehta and Abir Sengupta of Jaadugar Films and Sameer Raj Sippy of SRS Productions.
The cast and crew of the films will be announced soon.
&lsquo;Koshish&rsquo; (1972), directed by Gulzar, starred Jaya Bachchan and Sanjeev Kumar, while &lsquo;Bawarchi&rsquo; and &lsquo;Mili&rsquo; were directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The former starred Rajesh Khanna, Jaya Bachchan, and Asrani among others, and &lsquo;Mili&rsquo; featured Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and Ashok Kumar in lead roles.
In a joint statement, Anushree Mehta, director of Radhika Apte starrer &lsquo;Mrs. Undercover&rsquo;, and Abir Sengupta said that they are thrilled to be setting upon &lsquo;this magical journey of making three of our all-time favourite movies in a new form and mold&rsquo;.
&lsquo;It is a huge responsibility as Koshish, Bawarchi and Mili are celebrated in India and across the globe. The films have been made by the legendary Gulzar Saab and Hrishi da who have set the standards of filmmaking for generations to come. These are the films we have grown up on and they are the stories that the new generation should also witness; to know our rich cinematic legacy. We endeavour to put our best to live up to the expectations, the responsibility and most importantly remake these films which will touch the audiences hearts far and wide,&rsquo; the filmmakers said.
Sameer Raj Sippy, grandson of legendary producer NC Sippy and son of Raj Sippy, said the classics will be revisited with a modern outlook.

And that&rsquo;s the intention behind revisiting Bawarchi, Mili and Koshish. Coming from a legendary family of filmmakers, and being inspired by the family business, I now want to continue this legacy that has been handed down by my grandfather, NC Sippy, my uncle Romu Sippy and my father Raj Sippy,&rsquo; Sameer was quoted as saying.

Janhvi Kapoor said that being launched by Karan and Dharma Productions has made her an easy target for hate but she considers herself lucky to have been launched by him.

Actor Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with 'Dhadak' which was produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions and also starred in 'Gunjan Saxena' which was produced by him. In a recent interview with Bollywood Life, the actor addressed the criticism she has received for being a star kid and for being privileged to be launched by such a big production house.
Janhvi said that being launched by Karan and Dharma Productions has made her an easy target for hate, but she considers herself lucky to have been launched by the filmmaker.
&lsquo;I think it comes with the fact that Dharma is such an iconic production house. I have realised whatever people say, the kind of curiosity and reach that Dharma has and the kind of interest it piques in audiences, may be unparalleled. Yeah, it has added a certain amount of pressure and also made me a target that is easy to hate.&rsquo;
&lsquo;But I will never, for a moment, regret it because what Dharma and Karan have given me makes me feel so unbelievably lucky and privileged. It&rsquo;s more than that. If you know Karan and what that production house stands for, more than anything it&rsquo;s creative decisions and a man&rsquo;s creative vision that he sticks by. And I have so much respect. More than anything, it&rsquo;s given me confidence and love and guidance from a maker like Karan,' she further added.
Dharma Productions was set up by the late filmmaker Yash Johar and it is currently being run by his son and producer Karan Johar.

In a recent interview, Janhvi revealed that she would look good with Ranveer Singh in movies. &nbsp; In an interview with news portal, she was asked to name a person whom she hasn&rsquo;t worked with but might look good as on-screen pair. Janhvi was quick to take Ranveer Singh&rsquo;s name on the same. &nbsp;

Starring Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter, and Siddhant Chaturvedi, this horror comedy is about a ghost who approaches two incompetent ghostbusters with a business idea.
The film has been directed by Gurmmeet Singh, and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
Mili (Nov. 4)
This survival thriller, directed by Mathukutty Xavier and produced by Boney Kapoor, stars Janhvi Kapoor, Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa. It is remake of 2019 Malayalam film &lsquo;Helen&rsquo;.
It narrates a story of a woman stuck in a freezer, racing against time to stay alive.

Vijay Salgaonkar and family has finally settled and moved on after outsmarting the police, but the fear of police returns to haunt them as the case is reopened.
Bhediya (Nov. 25)
The comedy horror stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. It shows how Varun&rsquo;s character Bhaskar transforms into a werewolf after being bitten by a mythical wolf. He seeks help from Kriti Sanon and his friends try to find a cure for him. Helmed by Amar Kaushik, the film also stars Deepak Dobriyal and Abhishek Banerjee.

&lsquo;Mili&rsquo;, directed by Mathukutty Xavier, is scheduled to release on November 4, 2022.

The teaser of Jahnvi Kapoor&rsquo;s upcoming survival thriller &lsquo;Mili&rsquo; was unveiled by the makers on social media, hours after they shared the first look posters of the actor. Janhvi, who plays the titular role in the film, finds herself trapped in a storage freezer and she is trying her best to escape before she freezes to death.
The teaser also gives brief glimpses of actors Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa, who are worried about Mili&rsquo;s whereabouts. The clip concludes in an intriguing way &ndash; it shows a cut shot of Mili, from before she got trapped in the freezer, opening her fridge and taking out a packet of milk.
Everyone seems impressed with teaser. Bhumi Pednekar and Sanjay Kapoor are among many who have dropped a comment on Janhvi&rsquo;s post.
