The 44-year-old 2015 World Cup-winning skipper posted a post-operative picture on Instagram, urging people to prioritise regular skin checks, especially in countries with high sun exposure such as Australia.

"Skin cancer is real! Especially in Australia. Another one cut out of my nose today. A friendly reminder to get your skin checked. Prevention is better than cure but in my case, regular check ups and early detection is key," he wrote on instagram.
Clarke was first diagnosed with skin cancer in 2006 during his playing career and has since undergone several procedures. In 2019, he had three non-melanoma lesions removed, including one from his forehead.
In 2023, he required 27 stitches after a basal cell carcinoma was removed from his chest, following which he partnered with the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation to spread awareness.
Clarke retired from international cricket in 2015 after leading Australia to the ODI World Cup title.&nbsp;

While talking on an Australian podcast show Big Sports Breakfast, Clarke said that not playing a tour game in India could have a significant impact on the outcome of the series.
Clarke, who played 115 Tests and scored more than 8,600 runs, added that playing 20-over or 50-over games in India was completely different from competing in the longest format, especially while countering spin.

Former Aussie Captain Michael Clarke hit out at Cricket Australia for their handling of David Warner's captaincy ban review.
Accusing the Australian board of double standards, Clarke stated Cricket Australia was inconsistent with the three players who were involved in the 'Sandpaper-gate'. While Steve Smith &amp; Cameron Bancroft were also involved in the ball-tampering episode, only Warner among the three copped a lifetime leadership ban.
Earlier this week, <a href="https://www.editorji.com/sports-news/cricket/david-warner-withdraws-his-appeal-against-captaincy-ban-here-s-why-1670411119098">David Warner withdrew his appeal of getting his leadership ban overturned</a>, claiming he didn't want his family to be the "washing machine for cricket's dirty laundry."
Speaking to The Big Sports Breakfast, Clarke said one can tell Warner's "disappointed and frustrated."
The 2015 World Cup-winning captain further highlighted how Warner is being subjected to much higher public scrutiny than the likes of Steve Smith.
