As the Delhi Assembly elections draw near, political tensions have reached a fever pitch, with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal making serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Kejriwal claimed that the BJP was attempting to buy votes by offering gold chains to potential voters. However, he also accused local BJP leaders of pocketing the chains intended for distribution, rather than handing them out as promised.

In a message to Delhi voters, Kejriwal urged them to take the chains if offered but emphasized that they should not trade their votes for material incentives. He reminded them that the future of their families and the city depended on the upcoming election results.

 "Now they have sent their leaders gold chains to distribute among voters. But they are not distributing them. Those who make trouble at their offices are the ones getting chains to stay quiet. If you want the chain too, go and get it from their offices," he said.

He continued by encouraging voters to hold onto their political integrity: "But don&rsquo;t sell your vote. Your vote is precious. Your vote decides your, your children&rsquo;s, and the country&rsquo;s future. Don&rsquo;t vote for those offering money and chains. Vote for anyone except those buying votes."
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari accused Kejriwal of breaking his promise not to join any political alliance. He also alleged that the voters recognised the AAP leader's &ldquo;corrupt face&rdquo; and said they would &ldquo;say goodbye&rdquo; to him.

&ldquo;Koi khele rail mein, koi khele jail mein,&rdquo; Tiwari was heard singing while referring to Kejriwal.
The actor-turned-politician, who is BJP's contender from North East Delhi's Lok Sabha seat, had earlier hit out at the Aam Aadmi party supremo, calling his instruction from ED custody to the water minister scripted and his arrest a cause of celebration for the people of the city.
"In ED's custody there is a culprit and taking his reference today a script has been written that water and sewer-related facilities in Delhi are disorganised." Tiwari's remarks come after Water Minister Atishi, in a press conference, informed media that she received directions from the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal late Saturday, from ED custody, on running the city government.
"This (Kejriwal's direction) comes after no one in Delhi came to his support. The public didn't express sorrow at his arrest. In fact, they are celebrating, distributing sweets, and bursting crackers that the man who made Delhi cry is behind bars now," Tiwari claimed.
He said that the city is in a pathetic condition with sewers overflowing and people being forced to drink dirty tap water.
"If you want to know the actual condition of Delhi, go and see the streets. The sewer water overflows and gets into lanes and homes. People get dirty tap water to drink. The water quality is bad enough to make you sick," he said.
The BJP MP alleged that this is the result of the Kejriwal-led Delhi government's overlooking these matters for the past nine years that the people of Delhi lost trust in him.
"You got to know the problems of Delhi after you were sent into custody. Now you will realise what it means to not pay the pension of the elderly, give ration cards to the poor. But it's too late, Arvind Kejriwal ji." he said.
He added, "... he himself accepted that in the last nine years Delhi's condition turned pathetic, there will be no sympathy for you, no word, no agitation will be seen."&nbsp;

Ahead of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister's presentation in court by the CBI, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal claimed that "most CBI officers" were against Manish Sisodia's arrest.
The Aam Aadmi Party chief added that all CBI officers "have huge respect" for Sisodia, and don't have any evidence against him. But political pressure on CBI to arrest the AAP leader was "so high" that the officers had to "obey their political masters", Kejriwal added.
In response, BJP leader Manoj Tiwari said that Kejriwal had spread similar "fake news" about the Intelligence Bureau in Gujarat. Tiwari said that Kejriwal was scared at the possibility of the CBI probe growing larger.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has moved the Supreme Court against the Delhi government's ban production, storage, sale and use of all types of firecrackers in order to check the rising pollution levels in the city.
 Contending that freedom of religion cannot be taken away under the pretext of right to life, Tiwari has sought directions to the city government to issue fresh guidelines with regard to sale, purchase and bursting of permissible firecrackers.
The BJP MP, in a plea filed through advocate Ashwani Kumar Dubey, has also sought directions to all states not to take any coercive action like lodging FIR against common people found selling or using permissible firecrackers during the upcoming festival season.
The top court had last year clarified there is no blanket ban on use of firecrackers and only those fireworks which contain barium salts are prohibited.
Warning that top officials at various levels "shall be held personally liable" for any lapses, the apex court had said it is unfortunate that despite its directions blatant violations were taking place.
Tiwari submitted that several state governments and high courts had in 2021 passed orders contrary to the stand taken by the top court and imposed a blanket ban on firecrackers.
“With so many different orders, directions and views, it was confusing for the people at large to understand whether the firecrackers were allowed or not despite of this Court's refusal to put a blanket ban.
 "That in the name of Right to life, freedom of religion cannot be taken away and that a balance has to struck like that has been done through the decision of this Court dated October 29, 2021,” the plea drawn by advocate Shashank Shekhar Jha said.
The petition alleged that despite clear orders of the top court, certain states and UTs didn't take necessary steps to ensure proper arrangements for celebration of Deepawali were made and instead registered FIRs and imposed curfew.
“The chief secretaries, police commissioners, police district superintendents, station house officers and others in order to comply with the orders of their respective state governments have taken action against the common people who while purchasing the firecrackers didn't even have knowledge about the ingredients of the crackers at all.  
“That such arrests and FIRs on the festive season like Deepawali has not only brought a very bad message to the society at large and has unnecessarily created a fear and anger among the masses,” the plea said.

In his statement, the complainant said that the local time of sunset on the day of the incident was 6:03 pm and air services were to be conducted up to 5:30 pm. But the chartered flight with the BJP leaders on board took off at 6:17 pm.

The case was lodged on September 1 based on a complaint filed by airport security in-charge Suman Anand who accused the leaders of 'violating safety standards'.
The newly inaugurated airport doesn't have a &lsquo;night take-off or landing facility&rsquo; yet. Flights currently operate only till 30 minutes before sunset.
In his statement, the complainant said that the local time of sunset on the day of the incident was 6:03 pm and air services were to be conducted up to 5:30 pm. But the chartered flight with the BJP leaders on board took off at 6:17 pm.

All nine persons, including both the MPs and the airport director, have been booked under IPC sections 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 447 (punishment for criminal trespass), 448 (punishment for house-trespass),&nbsp; Kunda police station in-charge Praveen Kumar was quoted as saying by the news agency.
As per the FIR accessed by The Indian Express, on August 31, Lok Sabha MP from Godda Nishikant Dubey, his son Kanishk Kant Dubey, Mahikant Dubey, MP Manoj Tiwari, Mukesh Pathak, Devta Pandey, and Pintu Tiwari entered the high-security ATC room without permission and used their influence to pressure officials to give clearance to their chartered flight.
On September 2, Deoghar Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri also wrote a letter to the Principal Secretary, Cabinet-Coordination (Civil Aviation), Jharkhand demanding an inquiry into the issue.
Reacting to the FIR against him, Nishikant Dubey told India Today, "The airport authority did not object. We took permission from the director of the airport I am ready to fight the case, we will put forward our side of the events.&rdquo;
On Friday, Dubey got into a Twitter fight with&nbsp; Bhajantri, who said the BJP leader bypassed safety regulations and forcibly got clearance for his flight.
Dubey hit back, tweeting, "I&rsquo;d suggest you to study aviation rules again. As an IAS officer, the nation expects better from you. Now the matter is under investigation at all possible levels, please comment further only after reading aviation and airport rules carefully henceforth."

On September 1, Suman Anand, the security in charge of the airport, filed a complaint&nbsp;against BJP MP Dubey and others for violating safety standards by entering ATC room and forcibly taking clearance for the take-off.&nbsp;

A day after Jharkhand Police registered an FIR against BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey,&nbsp; Manoj Tiwari, and seven others over forcing flight take-off from Deoghar airport, Delhi Police filed a 'zero FIR' against the deputy commissioner of Deoghar and some police officials following Dubey's complaint. They have been charged with sedition and sections under the Officials Secret Acts have been invoked.
On August 31, nine people, including Dubey, his two sons, and fellow BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, allegedly forced Air Traffic Control (ATC) officials to provide clearance for their chartered flight to take off at night despite the newly-constructed airport not having a night take-off or landing facility.&nbsp;
According to the Delhi Police's 'zero FIR', which was filed at the North Avenue police station in Delhi on Saturday, Dubey was "threatened to be killed by Jharkhand Police on the direction of Deoghar&rsquo;s deputy commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri."

As per a report by The Indian Express, the FIR that Delhi Police sent to the Kunda police station in Deoghar for investigation, stated, &ldquo;MP Nishikant Dubey, Chairman, Deoghar Airport Advisory Committee has lodged a complaint at P.S. North Avenue (11.34 am September 3)&hellip; Prima facie offences under IPC section 124A (sedition), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of duty), 448 (house trespass), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence), 506 (criminal intimidation),120B (criminal conspiracy) and Officials Secrets Act.&rdquo;
Responding to the charges against him, Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri told The Indian Express, &ldquo;It (FIR) is an absurd and 100 per cent concocted story&hellip; an afterthought&hellip; (after) getting caught violating security protocol. During investigation by the competent authorities, everything will be uncovered, black and white.&rdquo;
Dubey and Tiwari had gone to Dumka to meet the family members of a minor girl who was burnt alive and got embroiled in a controversy on their way back to Delhi.
The complaint against Dubey, his two sons, MP Manoj Tiwari, Deoghar Airport Director Sandeep Dhingra and others was lodged by Suman Anand, the security in charge of the airport at Kunda police station on September 1.
The complaint stated that all nine persons violated the safety standards by entering the ATC room at the Deogarh airport and forcibly taking clearance for the take-off, officials said.
It has been alleged that permission was taken "forcibly" from the ATC despite no night take-off or landing facility at the airport that was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 12.
The FIR has resulted in a Twitter spat between Dubey and Deoghar Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri charging each other for violating the norms by entering the ATC room.
In a tweet, Dubey said, "This act is similar to that of a criminal that you (DC Bhajantri) entered the premises without permission. In what capacity did you enter the airport? Who gave you permission to see CCTV footage? You are frustrated. Continue to take orders from the CM." Taking to Twitter, the IAS officer said, "Hon&rsquo;ble MP Sir, I entered the Airport terminal after taking a legitimate entry pass. DC is also a Member on the Board of Directors of Deoghar Airport."

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari was taken to Safdarjung&nbsp;hospital after being injured while protesting outside Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's home.&nbsp;
Tiwari was protesting against the Delhi government over the ban on Chhatth&nbsp;Puja gatherings in the city.&nbsp;
According to reports, he was injured when the police started using water cannons to disperse the protesters.&nbsp;
The BJP&nbsp;leader posted a video from the hospital assuring his supporters that he is well and there is no cause for concern. He also requested his supporters not to lose their calm.&nbsp;

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari was taken to Safdarjung&nbsp;hospital after being injured while protesting outside Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's home.&nbsp;
Tiwari was protesting against the Delhi government over the ban on Chhatth&nbsp;Puja gatherings in the city.&nbsp;
According to reports, he was injured when the police started using water cannons to disperse the protesters.&nbsp;
The BJP&nbsp;leader posted a video from the hospital assuring his supporters that he is well and there is no cause for concern. He also requested his supporters not to lose their calm.&nbsp;
