India was responsible for 5.81 percent of the global malware count in Q4 2022.

As per a report by cybersecurity firm <a href="https://www.fortinet.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Fortinet</a>, India records over 300 million cases of malware attacks everyday.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, India recorded a total virus count of 37,697,022, with over 4,18,000 viruses per day.&nbsp;
The report indicates that India was responsible for 5.81 percent of the global virus count. In addition, the report revealed that Botnet count in India was 204,554,825, with over 2.2 million Bots per day.&nbsp;
Furthermore, the exploits targeting Indian networks were 4.35 percent of the global exploits.

A Chinese court has published a verdict on a contentious issue involving the Chinese smartphone maker Gionee.
The court detailed that more than 20 million Gionee phones were intentionally injected with Trojan Horse via an app between December 2018 and October 2019.
The report adds that this particular app was used as a tool to profit from users through unsolicited ads and other illegitimate means.
Although shocking, this seems to be a common practice with cheap Chinese smartphones, including Tenco and Infinix, who were also found guilty of the same malicious activity.
