Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Saturday took a swipe at his former leader Uddhav Thackeray by stating good relations have to be maintained with the Centre to get development funds, and work gets done on the ground and not online or from home.
Speaking at the ABP conclave, Shinde said one needed to keep ego aside for the state, a swipe at Thackeray, who as chief minister of the Maha Vikas Aghadi dispensation between 2019 and 2022, often sparred with the Narendra Modi government.
Queried on the Election Commission choosing his faction as the real Shiv Sena and giving it the bow and arrow symbol, Shinde said, "The Shiv Sena is founded by Balasaheb Thackeray. Most of the Shiv Sena MLAs, MPs, (former) corporators are with me." Without naming Uddhav Thackeray, the CM said the former ditched the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray in the lust for power.

Without naming Kangana, Thackeray drew attention to the Mumbai-PoK remark of the actress and said Maharashtra-haters have left no stone unturned to defame the state. In response, Kangana Ranaut called the Chief Minister the "worse product" of nepotism. In her tweet Kangana shamed Thackeray for speaking to a self- made single woman who was his son&rsquo;s age in that manner.

Amid the intensifying row between Kangana&nbsp;Ranaut&nbsp;and the Shiv&nbsp;Sena, the actress has landed in Mumbai from her home state Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday.
Launching a fresh attack against Maharashtra government, Kangana shared a video and warned&nbsp;Mumbai's Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray that his 'ego will be destroyed' just as he broke her house.
Kangana added that she now understands how Kashmiri Pandits might have felt when there homes were taken away and that she would now make a film on them as well.

'Dawood's man' calls up Maha CM's house twice, security scaled up

PTI,&nbsp;Mumbai:&nbsp;An unidentified man allegedly called up Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's personal residence 'Matoshree' in Bandra here, saying that he was calling from Dubai on behalf of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, a police official said on Sunday.
The caller rang up twice around 10.30 pm on Saturday, following which the police beefed up security at Thackeray's bungalow located in Kalanagar Colony, the official said.
"Someone called up on 'Matoshree' phone number two times on Saturday night and said Dawood Ibrahim wanted to talk to CM Uddhav Thackeray. However, the telephone operator did not transfer the call to the CM," the official said.
"The caller did not reveal his identity, but only said that he was calling from Dubai on behalf of Dawood Ibrahim.
Both the calls were received around 10.30 pm," he added.
The local police were later informed about the calls, following which extra security force was deployed outside the bungalow, the official said.
According to him, no case was registered in this connection.
Talking to PTI, a top police official said, "We are trying to verify whether the calls received were from Dubai or some other place. Investigation is on." Meanwhile, Maharashtra Transport Minister Anil Parab dismissed reports that the caller gave a threat to blow up the chief minister's residence.
"There was no threat to blow up 'Matoshree'," he said.
"Police have been informed about the calls and a probe is on," the Shiv Sena leader said.&nbsp;
