If Faleiro joins TMC, it will be the second prominent defection after the crossover of Sushmita Deb who has been given a big role in Tripura ahead of elections next year.
Faleiro will likely be entrusted with bolstering the Trinamool in Goa. In poll bound Goa, the Congress is considerably weakened and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is campaigning aggressively.
Further, Faleiro who was the Congress's in-charge of Tripura for the 2019 national election can help the TMC&rsquo;s fight against the ruling BJP in the north-eastern state.
