Woman claiming to be Prabhakaran's daughter posts a video expressing her desire to continue LTTE's fight for freedom.

A woman, claiming to be the daughter of former Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) chief Prabhakaran, has posted a video on social media expressing her desire to reveal her identity.&nbsp;
According to an India Today reports, the woman identified herself as Dwaraka Prabhakaran and said she has managed to post the video after numerous difficulties and betrayals. She also said that she wants to visit Sri Lanka and serve her people.&nbsp;
The video surfaced on "Maveerar Naal", a day of remembrance for Sri Lankan Tamils to honour the sacrifice of LTTE cadres.
Speaking in Sri Lanka Tamil, the woman on spoke about continuing the LTTE's fight for freedom.&nbsp;
India Today reported quoting sources that Sri Lankan govt had received information hinting at use of artificial Intelligence to generate the video.&nbsp;

A day after a noted Tamil nationalist leader claimed that LTTE's Velupillai Prabhakaran is alive, Sri Lanka reacted to the remark.&nbsp;
The island nation's Defence Ministry dismissed the claim as a 'joke' stating that DNA proof exists to assert that Prabhakaran was killed in 2009.
"It is confirmed that he was killed on 19 May 2009. The DNA has proved it," Colonel Nalin Herath, Sri Lanka's defence ministry spokesman told news agency PTI in Colombo.

The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam was a guerrilla outfit that tried to establish a separate Tamil state in northern and eastern Sri Lanka.

LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran, who was claimed to have been killed in 2009 by the Sri Lankan military, is actually alive, according to a top Tamil Nationalist leader.
Pazha Nedumaran, president of the World Tamil Federation, said on 13 February 2023 that Prabhakaran is alive and well. Prabhakaran would soon announce a plan for the "liberation" of the Tamil race, and he should be supported by all Tamil people, Nedumaran was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
Till such time the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) was powerful, they did not allow any forces inimical to India to find a toehold in the regions held by them in Sri Lanka, he said. They not only opposed such forces but also have not received any support from such nations opposed to India, he added.
