Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, who was admitted to the AIIMS here last night, was discharged on Thursday, a hospital official said.
The 96-year-old former deputy prime minister was evaluated by a team of doctors from different specialities including urology and geriatric medicine and is learnt to have undergone a minor procedure.
"Advani was admitted for old age-related issues and has been discharged," the AIIMS official said.
Advani was admitted to the old private ward of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) around 10.30 pm on Wednesday.

The 96-year-old former deputy prime minister has been admitted in the old private ward of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and is learnt to being treated by doctors from the Department of Urology.
However, there was no immediate clarity on his ailment.&nbsp;

Responding to the Bharat Ratna award conferred to him, veteran BJP leader LK Advani on Saturday expressed his gratitude, saying that it was an honour not only for him but also for the ideals and principles he stood by for decades.
"With utmost humility and gratitude, I accept the Bharat Ratna that has been conferred on me today. It is not only an honour for me as a person, but also for the ideals and principles that I strove to serve throughout my life to the best of my ability."
While reflecting on his journey starting from the RSS, the 96-year-old said that he sought reward only by showing dedication towards the country and ambracing any task life assigned him.
He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bestowing the coveted award upon him.&nbsp;
"I also express my deepest feelings for all members of my family, especially my dear departed wife Kamla. They have been the greatest source of strength and sustainance in my life," he said.
"Ever since I joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as its volunteer at the age of 14, I have sought reward in only thing &ndash; in dedicated and selfless service of my beloved country in whatever task life assigned to me," he said.
"Today I gratefully remember two persons with whom I had the honour of working closely &ndash; Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee," Advani said.

In an article, 'Shri Ram Mandir: Fulfilment of a divine dream', penned by Advani and shared by his office on Saturday, the BJP leader said a significant debate started during the movement around the difference between genuine secularism and pseudo-secularism. Advani, who had launched the epochal Ram Rath Yatra in 1990, said, "On the one hand there was a groundswell of popular support for the movement. On the other hand, most political parties were shying away from supporting it as they feared losing Muslim votes. They succumbed to the lure of this vote-bank politics and justified it in the name of secularism." "Thus, the Ayodhya issue, whose primary objective was the reconstruction of the Ramjanmabhoomi temple also became a symbol of reclaiming the true meaning of secularism from the onslaught of pseudo-secularism," the 96-year-old leader added. In the run-up to the January 22 consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Advani said, the atmosphere in the entire country has truly become "Ram-maya". He said this is a moment of fulfilment for him, not just as a proud member of the RSS and the BJP but also as a proud citizen of India. He said he felt blessed that he would witness the historic occasion in his lifetime. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi does the 'Pran Pratishtha' of Lord Ram's idol in Ayodhya on January 22, Advani said, he would be representing "every citizen of our great Bharat". "It is my belief and my hope that this temple will inspire all Indians to imbibe Shri Ram's virtues. I also pray that our great country not only continues to accelerate on the path of becoming a global power but also presents itself as a sterling example of dignity and decorum in all walks of life," he said. He said while a protracted legal battle went on to resolve the Ayodhya land dispute, he and every member of the BJP and the Sangh Parivar continued working towards awakening the soul of Indians to realise this dream of restoring Ram Lalla in his rightful abode. "I am very happy that due to the decisive verdict of the Supreme Court in November 2019, the reconstruction of Shri Ram Mandir has happened in an environment of tranquillity," Advani said. And now that the magnificent temple is in the final stages of completion, he said he is filled with a sense of deep gratitude towards the Prime Minister Modi-led government, Vishva Hindu Parishad, RSS, BJP and the countless people associated with his yatra, saints, leaders and kar sevaks. Advani said he is missing two persons -- his wife Kamla and former prime minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee -- immensely. He said Vajpayee was an integral part of his life, both political and personal, and he shared an "unbreakable and everlasting bond of mutual trust, affection and respect" with the former prime minister. "The second person is my late wife Kamla, who had been the mainstay of stability and a source of unparalleled strength to me, not only during the Shri Ram Rath Yatra, but throughout my long stint in public life," he said. Asserting that the Ramjanmabhoomi movement proved to be a major watershed in the history of post-1947 India, Advani said he felt humbled that destiny made him perform a pivotal duty in the form of the Ram Rath Yatra from Somnath to Ayodhya in 1990. "I believe that before any event finally occurs in reality, it takes shape and form in a person's mind. At that time, I was feeling that a befitting temple for Shri Ram in Ayodhya would indeed be a certainty one day and that it was only a matter of time," he said. Advani's Rath Yatra was cut short following his arrest in Bihar but the popular upsurge the movement sparked propelled the BJP to the centre stage of national politics, paving the way for the party to form its first central government in the late 1990s under Vajpayee's leadership.

BJP veterans L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi who were at the forefront of the agitation for the Ram temple in Ayodhya are unlikely to attend next month&rsquo;s consecration ceremony due to their health and age, the temple trust said on Monday.
"Both are elders of the family and considering their age, they were requested not to come, which was accepted by both," Ram Temple Trust general secretary Champat Rai told reporters.
Rai said preparations are in full swing for the consecration ceremony on January 22, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The preparations would be completed by January 15 and the puja for 'praan pratistha' will start from January 16 and will continue till 22nd January, he added.
Giving a detailed list of the invitees, Rai said Advani and Joshi might not attend the consecration ceremony due to health and age-related reasons.
Advani is now 96 and Joshi will turn 90 next month.
A three-member team has been formed to visit former prime minister Deve Gowda and invite him to the ceremony, Rai said.
"Shankaracharyas of six darshanas (ancient schools) and around 150 saints and sages and will participate in the ceremony," Rai said.
He added that about 4,000 saints and 2,200 other guests have been invited for the ceremony.
Heads of major temples like Kashi Vishwanath, Vaishno Devi, and representatives of religious and constitutional institutions have also been invited, he said.
Spiritual leader Dalai Lama, Mata Amritanandamayi of Kerala, yoga guru Baba Ramdev, cine stars Rajnikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Arun Govil, film director Madhur Bhandarkar and prominent industrialists such as Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, famous painter Vasudev Kamat, ISRO Director Nilesh Desai and many other eminent personalities have been invited to the function, Rai said.
After the consecration ceremony, 'mandal puja' will be held from January 24 for 48 days as per ritual traditions. The temple will be opened for devotees on January 23, he added.
Rai said that proper arrangements have been made for the guests to stay at more than three places in Ayodhya. Apart from this, 600 rooms have been made available by various monasteries, temples and household families.
Meanwhile, authorities of the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation said they have begun preparing for the consecration ceremony.
Speaking to PTI, Municipal Commissioner Vishal Singh said that fibre toilets will be installed for devotees and changing rooms will be set up for women at designated places.
The 'Ram Katha Kunj' corridor will be built in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex which would showcase tableaux displaying 108 events from Lord Ram's life, he said.
