'Lizard in breakfast': 35 students fall sick after eating contaminated hostel food

Students of Telangana's TG Model School allegedly found a lizard in their breakfast, triggering a massive health emergency.

Students residing at a government hostel in Telangana fell sick after they allegedly found a lizard in their breakfast, sending many to the hospital. At least 35 students experienced symptoms like vomiting and diarrhoea after consuming the allegdly contaminated food.
Authorities alleged the staff of TG Model School in Ramayampet of negligence and fired at least 2 cooks.
While health officials have collected samples of the food for further investigation, media reports suggest that the reptile may have fallen into the food while it was being prepared. The cause of contamination is yet to be officially determined.
Medak District Educational Officer has reportedly served a show cause notice to a hostel caretaker and a Special Officer.
In addition to triggering a health emergency, the incident also fetched an angry reaction from the student's parents. India Today reported that parents reached out to the school and demanded "strict hygiene measures" in the kitchens of TG Model School.

Camphor can also be used to drive away lizards. Dissolve camphor in water and put it in a spray bottle. And sprinkle it where lizards come.

Pepper spray is also considered a good option to drive away lizards. You can make it at home only. To make pepper spray, take some black pepper and grind it in a mixer and make powder. Now mix it well in water and fill it in a spray bottle.

The smell of garlic and onion is strong which makes lizards run away. Keep a few cloves of garlic and a few pieces of onion in the corners of the house.

Lizards like to come in garbage and filth. Therefore, keep the house clean and take out the garbage on time.
