Forest department officials later said the 2-year-old leopard&rsquo;s health was critical at the time and it was walking around in a dizzy state.
The leopard was taken to Bhopal for treatment and a proper medical examination.
&ldquo;The condition of the leopard was critical. Despite this people were troubling him. We removed the villagers from there. After this, the veterinary doctor was called from Mhow in Indore,&rdquo; forest officer Santosh Shukla told NDTV.

As per media reports, chaos broke out at the court premises after the leopard suddenly arrived there. It attacked a cobbler and strayed to Chief Judicial Magistrate's court harming several others subsequently.&nbsp;
Meanwhile, search for the leopard is underway by a team of police and forest department officials.

A leopard, which is believed to have killed at least 3 persons in Chhattisgarh, was finally caught by the forest department on 18 January 2023 in the Janakpur area of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur (MCB) district.
The wild cat is believed to be behind 3 deaths since December 2022. Forest officials placed 3 cages at different places. The cages had live chickens to attract the leopard.

Leopard scare at Bangalore University; students, officials asked to stay alert

Forest officials suspected at the time that two leopards might have strayed into Turahalli forest and nearby areas from Bannerghatta reserved forest in the city, which is in close proximity.

Alarmed by media reports about a leopard being sighted on its campus, the Bangalore University has asked students, faculty and other staff to be watchful and report on spotting the movement of the big cat.
In a circular issued on Thursday, the Registrar of BU at the Jnanabharathi campus referred to such reports, and said a letter has been sent to the Forest Department urging it to catch the leopard and take appropriate action.
"In view of reports appearing in the media and social media platforms about the leopard sighting on the campus, all the students of the university, especially those staying in the university hostels, teaching faculties and other staff are hereby directed that they should be cautious and avoid moving around in the night. Also, they should immediately inform their higher-ups once they spot the movement of leopard," the circular read.
Last month, there was a scare in parts of the Bengaluru south region, and in and around Turahalli forest off Kanakapura Road of the big cat's movements.
Forest officials suspected at the time that two leopards might have strayed into Turahalli forest and nearby areas from Bannerghatta reserved forest in the city, which is in close proximity.

The video shows the wild cat jumping over the boundary fence of a building, and leaping straight at a car. The leopard then jumps off the vehicle and runs on the street away from the person capturing the video. The car follows the leopard as it enters a residential area.
At least 13 people, including 3 forest personnel, were injured in the leopard attack, as per reports.
The leopard was found moving around the campus of the Rain Forest Research Institute (RFRI) in Chenijan area of the district since early morning. &nbsp;The residents of the campus informed the forest department and a team rushed to the spot to capture the animal.
The big cat attacked 10 residents of the campus and three forest personnel, before fleeing the area. Forest personnel made several attempts to tranquilise the leopard but the big cat was still at large and efforts were underway to track and capture it on the night of 26 December.
The injured people were admitted to a hospital and their condition was stated to be stable.
RFRI is surrounded by acres of forests and the leopard is suspected to have come out of there.

Forest officials believe that the same leopard is responsible for all 3 deaths. A decision is being taken on whether to declare the leopard a man-eater.

It is yet to be ascertained whether it is the same feline which attacked and killed a one-and-a-half-year-old girl in Aarey Colony on 24 October 2022.

A leopard was successfully trapped in Mumbai two days after a wild cat killed a toddler. A male leopard was trapped in a cage in Mumbai's Aarey Colony on 26 October 2022.
But it is yet to be ascertained whether it is the same feline which attacked and killed a one-and-a-half-year-old girl in a forested area in unit number 15 of Aarey Colony on 24 October 2022.
The victim had been following her mother who was on her way to a nearby temple. Following the incident, forest officials and wildlife volunteers put up cages at strategic locations in and around the site to capture the animal.
After a leopard walked into a cage, it was taken to a rescue centre at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) for further examination and observation. Officials will keep monitoring the movement of other animals in the area throughout the week
Aarey Colony is a green belt of Mumbai's western suburb of Goregaon and is located close to the sprawling national park.

A one-and-half-year-old girl was attacked and killed by a leopard in the forested area of Aarey colony in the western suburb of Goregaon here on Monday, police said.
The incident took place in unit number 15 of Aarey around 6.30 am, when the child followed her mother who was on her way to a temple around 30 feet from their house, an official from Aarey police station said.
A leopard attacked the girl and injured her. The toddler was rushed to a hospital, where she was declared dead by doctors, he said.
"On the basis of primary information, we have registered an accidental death report (ADR) in the case, further investigation is underway," the official added.
Meanwhile, the forest department has initiated an action plan to prevent the human-wildlife conflict in the area, an official said.

The authorities have deployed a wildlife ambulance, wildlife distress response teams from the Mumbai forest department and volunteers in the area, the official said.
Rescuers, leopard experts, veterinarians and senior officials from the forest department will be stationed at Aarey round the clock for this entire week, he said.
