Ladakh got its first inflatable cinema with a private company, PictureTime Digiplex, installing the theatre in August this year. The theatre in Leh is said to be the highest altitude theatre in the world, installed at a height of 11,562 feet.
Earlier, espionage drama 'Bellbottom' starring Akshay Kumar was also screened at the threatre in Leh.
Directed by filmmaker Kabir Khan, "83" will not just be released in PictureTime’s Ladakh theatre but also in Hisar, Haryana and Arunachal Pradesh where the company has installed more for such mobile theatres.
"My joy knows no bounds... '83' screening from tomorrow onwards in Ladakh, at Picturetime’s inflatable theatre, the world's highest theatre at 11,562 feet. This is spectacular. "I’m looking forward to the audience's reaction to my film. Ladakh doesn’t just hold a special place in our film but is also very dear to my heart because I have spent months trekking there during my college days. This is truly special," Khan said in a statement.
"83" chronicles India's win under Kapil Dev's captainship, when the team defeated West Indies in the final to clinch their first-ever World Cup trophy in 1983.
Bankrolled by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films, the movie will arrive in cinema halls on December 24 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has built the world&rsquo;s highest motorable road at the&nbsp;Umlingla Pass in Eastern Ladakh at a height of 19,300 feet. The Defence Ministry said with this, India has broken Bolivia&rsquo;s record of a road near volcano Uturuncu at 18,953 ft.
The 52-km long road through Umlingla Pass connects important towns in Chumar sector of Eastern Ladakh. A boon for the local population, the road offers an alternate direct route connecting Chisumle and Demchok from Leh. 
But building a road at this height wasn't an easy task. Harsh weather conditions during winters in Ladakh bring temperatures down to -40 degree celsius and at this altitude, oxygen levels are 50 per cent less than at normal places.

News agency ANI shared the video of the massive aircraft landing at the airstrip. The jumbo aircraft can carry large combat equipment, troops and humanitarian aid across long distances. According to news agency PTI, the Army has rushed tanks, heavy weaponry, ammunition, fuel, food and essential winter supplies to high-altitude areas in eastern Ladakh.

The sole focus of the talks will be on the implementation of a five-point agreement reached between the two countries on disengagement of troops and de-escalation of the volatile situation in eastern Ladakh, PTI&nbsp;news reported quoting government sources. The talks are set to be held at Moldo on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh.&nbsp;For the first time, a joint secretary-level officer from the Ministry of External Affairs is expected to be part of the Indian delegation. India is looking for some concrete outcome from the dialogue, the report said.

New Delhi, PTI: The sixth round of Corps Commander talks between the armies of India and China is scheduled to be held on Monday with a sole focus on the implementation of a five-point agreement reached between the two countries on disengagement of troops and de-escalation of the volatile situation in eastern Ladakh, government sources said on Sunday.
The talks are set to be held at Moldo on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh, they said.
For the first time, a joint secretary-level officer from the Ministry of External Affairs is expected to be part of the Indian delegation, the sources said, adding India is looking for some concrete outcome from the dialogue.
Both sides reached the agreement to resolve the border row at a meeting between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on the sidelines of a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meet in Moscow on September 10.
The agreement included measures like quick disengagement of troops, avoiding action that could escalate tensions, adherence to all agreements and protocols on border management and steps to restore peace along the LAC.
The Indian delegation at the talks is set to be led by Lt Gen Harinder Singh, the commander of the Leh-based 14 Corps of the Indian Army, while the Chinese side is likely to be headed by Major General Liu Lin, the commander of the South Xinjiang military region.
"In the talks, India will insist on complete disengagement of Chinese troops from the friction points at the earliest," said a source.
