One dead and five injured in a land dispute clash in Manipur's Ukhrul district

A violent clash over land ownership resulted in one death and five injuries in Manipur's Ukhrul district, prompting strict prohibitory orders by authorities to prevent further unrest.

One person was killed and five others injured in a clash between people of two villages over a land dispute in Manipur's Ukhrul district, officials said on Friday.
The incident happened on Thursday, following which the Additional District Magistrate Polly Makan imposed prohibitory orders in Shangching and Lungreiphung Tang villages.
An official based in the Ukhrul district said the reasons behind the clash were related to the ownership of land between residents of the two villages.
The deceased has been identified as 46-year-old Ramson RK. He suffered a bullet injury on his left chest, police said.
According to the orders, the villagers have been prohibited from leaving their residences or engaging in activities that could disrupt law and order in the area.

Taking to Facebook, Ali wrote to Karnataka DGP over the illegal encroachment of his trust property in Kenchenahalli Yelahanka area of Bengalruru by one Sudhir Reddy who he claimed was a land mafia.

Singer Lucky Ali on Monday &nbsp;alleged that his Bengaluru farm is being illegally encroached upon with no help from the local police.
Taking to Facebook, Ali wrote to Karnataka DGP over the illegal encroachment of his trust property in Kenchenahalli Yelahanka area of Bengaluru by one Sudhir Reddy who he claimed was a land mafia.
Ali also alleged that Reddy's wife Rohini Sindhuri, who is an IAS officer was also misusing state resources for personal gain, adding that the couple was forcibly and illegally entering his farm without any court order.

2020 Land Rover Defender Launched In India

The 2020 Land Rover Defender has been launched in India and prices for the SUV begin at Rs. 73.98 lakh, going all the way up to Rs. 90.46 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, India. While Land Rover India had announced more competitive prices for the Defender range in February this year, those prices were introductory and these are launch prices for the SUV. The new-generation SUV is offered in two versions - the Defender 90 three-door and the Defender One Ten five-door in the country. Bookings for the Defender One Ten opened earlier this year and deliveries will begin very soon. Meanwhile, bookings for the Defender 90 three-door only start now and deliveries will take place in early 2021. The Defender One Ten is offered with a 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine with 296 bhp and 400 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV also comes with electronic air suspension, configurable terrain response, all-wheel drive with a twin-speed transfer case and more. The new Land Rover Defender comes to India as a Completely Built Unit.
