Sensex ends 31 points up; Nifty at 11,934

Equity markets ended Tuesday on a flat note amid mixed global cues. Banking stocks tumbled while strong buying witnessed in the IT sector.
The Sensex&nbsp;ended the day 31 points up at 40,625 and the Nifty closed the trade at 11,934, 0.03% higher than its previous day closing rate.
HCL&nbsp;Tech, Infosys, Kotak&nbsp;Bank, Reliance and Ultratech&nbsp;Cement were the top gainers. While Cipla, Titan, Adani&nbsp;Ports, Divis&nbsp;Labs and ICICI&nbsp;Bank were the top five losers.
The rupee depreciated 7 paise to settled at 73.35 against the US dollar.
